Young Couple Wed in Nevada Announcement is made by Mrs. W. G. Ryan of Payson, formerly of Provo, of the marriage of her daughter. Miss Ruth Stratton, to Stanley R. Burrastoh, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Burraston, of Goshen. ' The young couple were married mar-ried Friday in Las Vegas, Nevada, and will make their home in Provo. Pro-vo. The bride is a graduate of the Lincoln high school, and Mr, Burraston Bur-raston was graduated from Pay-son Pay-son high. He has an honorable discharge from the army after serving as a staff sergeant in the infantry overseas for two and a half years, returning in January. He entered the service four years ago. Novel Party Theme Creates Much -Fun Gleaner girls of the Provo Ninth ward met Monday evening even-ing for a garden party at the home of their sponsor, Mrs. El-don El-don D. Clark, 458 East Sixth North street. The theme, "Trackless "Track-less Trackmeet" prevailed and was carried out with invitations and games. All of the guests arrived In a novel but prescribed way, on tricycles, in wagons, doing the huja, or some other such feat. Broadjumps, high jumps, running the mile were all performed in an astonishing manner and a gay time was enjoyed by the group. Refreshments were served by Nadine and Evelyn Atkinson. Preparations were made by Annie Richardson, retiring president, and Mrs. Clark. New officers were selected with Moana Ballif, president, Marvel Johnson, vice-president, and Verna Hansen, secretary. ' The Airds, who left behind a host of friends when they moved to the coast three years ago, will celebrate their fiftieth wedding anniversary Thursday. - The good wishes of Provoans and friends throughout the county and state are passed along to this fine couple. Their daughter, Mrs. W. L. Stacy of Long Beach, is holding hold-ing an 'open house in their honor Sunday, and the festivity fes-tivity will be attended by scores of former Utahna now living on the coast. All of their family members are now in the vicinitv at Lna Angeles, their sons, Will Aird and Dr. Robert Aird and families, and Mrs. John Aird and children. Dr. John Aird died a few years ago.
