Maw. ..The bill, aa approved by the governor, was more than 1500,000 under the general fund amount approved by the legislature, Maw vetoed out several items which he said he believed should have further study. Maw explained that several of the projects deleted from the bill probably could be undertaken from funds in the operttlnr to count if the board of examiners decided they were needed. CAMP HONORS CHRISTEN BOYS EDUCATIONAL CONFERENCE IS CONCLUDED . Young university's educational conference drew to a close this afternoon with a panel discussion on contributions of the conference to the improvement of education in Utah for the period of national emergency. The panel was led by Dr. A. C. Lambert, other members participating partici-pating Including P. Ft. Wegner, superintendent of schools at Roa-lyn Roa-lyn Heights, Long Island. N. Law of the H, Y, U. faculty. At the 9:30 a m. conference, Superintendent Wegner gave a talk on evaluation of elementary training schools. He stated every elementary curriculum should guarantee each child a richness of experience, and advised teachers to be careful to give every child opportunity to express himself. Charles H. Bkidmore, state superintendent su-perintendent of public instruction, addressed the 10:30 section,' reviewing re-viewing ' accomplishments of the national defense program. He predicted Utah win become a' depositary de-positary for large quantities of war materials because of its ideal location. Howard B. The brothers, who have been enrolled in the camp in continuous continu-ous succession since the camp was organized, are Don, Roy, Jess, Paul, ' Russell and Ernest Chris ten. Paul is a present enrollee. Also honored were the parents. Mr. and Mrs. Christen Jaggi of Provo, and another brother. Grant, 15, who intends to enroll when he reaches the requisite age.
