Berry of Provo as hydrotherapist at the Utah State hospital, effective April 15, was anonunced at the monthly meeting of the board of trustees of the institution Wednesday. Wed-nesday. Mr. Berry was selected by the medical committee. Arthur Lyons, Ly-ons, who has been handling thi3 work temporarily, will be transferred trans-ferred to other duties. Dr. Anthony Colletti, a graduate gradu-ate of University of Utah and the Louisville Medical school, has been chosen to take over the position cf assistant physician resigned by Dr. James B. Overton, it was reported. re-ported. Two other appointments to be filled by the medical committee will be made soon to replace Dr. Kurt E. Rose, resident physician, who will leave April 15 to enter the army, and Dr. O. D. Hansen of Provo, hospital dentist. Dr. Hansen, Han-sen, who is resigning to devote full time to his private practice, his agreed to stay until a successor succes-sor has been named. J. M. Redd Jr., secretary of the beard and steward at the hospital, reported that collections at the institution in-stitution reached an all-time high when $7383.88 was received dur ing March and approximately 518,000 during the quarter ending March 31. The board approved requests by Superintendent Garland H. Pace to attend the American Psychiatric Psychia-tric association convention in Richmond, Va., in May and by Dr. Owen P. Heninger to attend the American Medical association convention con-vention at Cleveland, O., in June. "HONOR NIGHT" RET LEHI The Lehl stake M. I. German Measles Reported Prevalent German measles led the list of communicable diseases reported by local health officers from all sections of the state to the state board of health for the week ending end-ing April 4. Of the 419 cases of communicable communi-cable disease reported during ths week, 125 were German measles. Other cases were: Chickenpox, 87, Influenza 69, measles 13, mumps 19, pneumonia 12, scarlet fever 12, tuberculosis 1, whooping cough 60, gonorrhea 6, syphilis 14, and pneu-mococcus pneu-mococcus meningitis 1. In Provo there were six cases of In Provo there were six cases of German measles, four of measles, and one each of chicken-pox chicken-pox and gonorrhea. Only two cases' were reported elsewhere in the county, one of chickenpox and one of tuberculosis. Election At Pleasant Grove PLEASANT GROVE Mrs. r.ena Pearson was re-elected president pres-ident of the Pleasant Grove P.-T. A. at a meeting held Wednesday afternoon. Assisting Mrs. Pearson as new rfficers this year, are Mrs. Geneve Dalton, vice president representing represent-ing the high school and Mrs. Beu-lah Beu-lah Bradley, vice president representing repre-senting the Central school. A program committee is to be ap-oint-d by the new officers, while the room mothers, remain-ins- from the old organization will serve the rest of the school year. Juniors held their annual festival in the Lehi stake tabernacle Saturday Sat-urday evening, when the Junior girbj entertained their mothers at a luncheon. The guests were seated at a large "U"-shaped table with Easter favors and decorations. Mrs. Winzell Swen-son. Swen-son. Shaw, fair manager. The fair board, department supervisors sup-ervisors and community exhibits committeemen, and representatives representa-tives from all the cities and towns in Utsh county are expected expect-ed to be in attendance at the meeting. A meeting of the fair board is also expected to take place prior to the general meeting. meet-ing. A new type of score card for judging community exhibits at county fairs is expected to be sanctioned at the meeting-. The new method of scoring, which was devised by Dr. Arvil Stark, Utah State Agricultural college extension ex-tension horiculturist, will create more interest and variety to the exhibit. A better quality product is also hoped for. Under the new plan points will be awarded under three major divisions, di-visions, quality of products displayed, dis-played, artistic qualifications of display, and relation of products and theme cf display. The judges will be selected to handle each division of the score card. Where communities want information in-formation and guidance in their display, meetings will be held where a more complete explanation explana-tion will be given of the score card. The new score card is expected ex-pected to become standardized soon at all county fairs throughout through-out the state.
