B.Y.U. Social Unit To Have Party LaVadis social unit held an enjoyable en-joyable get-together Monday evening', eve-ning', when plans tor their annual Christmas invitational to be held at the B. Y. high school auditorium auditor-ium on Saturday, December 14, at 8:30 p. m., were discussed. During the meeting the newly adopted twin pledge pins were introduced. One of them is in the form of the initials L. V. in gold .letters with the matching pin in the name LaVadis, styiea wiih the same lettering. The girls formed the traditional frienedship chain and sang the "Sweethearts ol LaVadis" and the "Purple and Gold" pep song. Light refreshments were served oy Clarice Clar-ice Larsen, hostess. De Novo Club Bridge Party Mrs. Kenneth Bailey was hostess host-ess to members of the De Novo club at a delightful party Tues day afternoon at the Haase cafe. Early in the afternoon, a nicely arranged and tasty luncheon was served at one long table, which held a beautiful centerpiece of evergreen and holly. Each group will sponsor its own activities and is under the ku pervision of a home economics instructor. "Because there are so many active members, we think this plan will give everyone additional opportunities to get acquainted and will offer him closer cooperation coopera-tion with officers in charge," states faculty sponsors.
