Capt. H. H. Jalbert, USNR, administrator ad-ministrator of the field 25 miles north of Casper, closed his office and left yesterday afternoon for Washington. The new custodian is the U. S. geological survey, which set up offices in the post office building here. Geophysical tests are now being made, preparatory to drilling drill-ing a new deep test well on the 9,000-acre tract, a spokesman said. Teapot Dome was Involved in a national oil scandal during the Harding administration. The resulting re-sulting investigation sent . one cabinet member to jail and upset one of the nation's richest oil empires, em-pires, that of Harry Sinclair. Alexander the Great made his soldiers shave regularly so that their enemies could not grasp their beards. As freight rates have mounted since the war, Horan said, truck hauling of farm : goods .has in-creased in-creased steadily. . The interstate commerce commission granted their freight increases on railroad profit-and-loss statements, Horan said. "The commission has consist ently refused," he said, "to examine ex-amine the efficiency of the toads themselves, to determine whether they are wasting money through obsolete practices, featherbeddlng labor policies: or Just plain poor management." Whatever the reason for the increases, he said, they and the 10 per cent "war tax" discriminate discrimi-nate against the northwest consumer con-sumer and shipper. Horan" said truck shipments were increasing to such an extent that he has asked the agriculture department to report truck movements move-ments in its market news service.
