In making the donation, Mr. Gunderson said he was doing it "because I was in the hospital' in 1924 for 10 months. I figure I owe everything. to the hospital. If it hadn't been for the hospital, I wouldn't have 79-year-- anything." ' . Mr. Gunderson came to this country from Norway at the age of 19. After leaving the hospital in 1924, he worked as a carpenter for 32 years. In 1938 he went into business for himself building and selling homes, a business he continued until 1956., During this period, he said he was quite successful. Mr. Stansfield said the Pay-son area showed an increase of 43 students this year, as com pared with 161 last year. Sorineville increased 96,' as compared wun w last year, and Spanish Fork 44, as compared, with - 149. The Payson area has 2641 stu dents enrolled (2598 last year). Springville has 3412 (3316 last year), and Spanish Fork 3477 last year).
