August 22, 1950 Nebo School District Announces Teaclter List; Roster Includes 29 New Instructors- ,f Twenty-nin- e FORK new teachers have been added to the rolls of the Nebo school district according to comreleased this plete teacher lists week by Supt. W. W. Brockbank. Eleven of the new teachers are In the Spanish Fork, Lake Shore and Salem schools. They are: Arvll Huff, Salem and junior one-ha- lf day: Ray high school, Valena Jones, Salem; Warner and Ros Swenson, Central; Lorraine Hansen and Grant Harris,' Rees; F. J. Faux, formerly of the Spanish Fork music department who will teach a sixth grade in the Rees this year; Rulon Thomas, city recreation director, Thurber; Nancy Wells, Lake Shore; Robert Evans, Spanish Fork junior high, music one-ha- lf day; Helen Nelson, Spanish Fork junior high, home economics; Sarah Woolsey, high; EngSpanish Fork senior and Leslie lish one-ha- lf day Rees, Spanish Fork senior high school music department. Other new teachers in the district are: Reed Francis, Lincoln; Carl Wilson, Grant; Carma Hales, Brookside; Waldo Jacobsen, Catherine Harris and Mary Beesley, Mapleton; Dean Peay, Peteetneet; Kenneth Twede, Taylor; Elaine high; Winters, SanUquin junior Santa-quiRemington Davenport, Stans- -,n junior high; JJoyd field, Goshen junior high; Paul Slack, Goshen; Barbara Firmage, Leda Jean Widdison, Ralph Men-lov- e, all of Payson high school; Paul Steele and Grant Clyde, Springville high school. School Calendar The school calendar calls for the first recess on October 12, 18 and 14 when all teachers attend UEA convention. Nov. 6 to 12 has been designated as American Education week. Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 will be the Thanksgiving recess and Christmas holidays axe listed from Dec. 23 to Jan. 2. A clean-u- p day during April will be announced and school will Close May 23. All the schools have been renovated with several schools completely repainted to get ready for the school year which begins Sept. 8.
