Show Fine Arts Club Entertains Giiests; Interesting Program j A delightful open session of the Fine Arts Hub was held at the horne ot the president, Mrs. Ffank J. Earl Thursday afternoon. f Mrs .John S. Lewis was featured in the program i-mA cho rti-ivo n tin review ot Normon Anaeli's WW WW w w ' - J book, "Let The People Know." An. open discussion followed. I Mrs. Bernice Dastrup sang two numbers and Miss May Sevey played two violin selections. Mrs. Ralph Britsch accompanied both. Tasty refreshments were served and corsages of chrysanthemums presented as favors. Hostesses were Mri. Ralph Britsch, Mrs.a 7 : La Voir Jensen, Mrs. Myron strate, Mrs. John Halliday, Mrs. L. S. Maycock and Mrs. LeRoy Robert- son. Beautiful flowers of the season were arranged throughout the rooms. Elks' Ladies To Organize A meeting is being called for all lady Elks of Provo to be held in the Elks' home Tuesday evening: at 8 o'clock, for the pur pose of organizing a Lady Elks' club in Frovo. A full attendance of those elig ible is urged. , Sewing Club At Social K. C. Q. club members met Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Claudia Lewis, a delightful time being spent with sewing. An open discussion of today's problems proved Interesting and recipes were exchanged. Miss Melba Brown was in charge of the business. Plans were completed for entertaining at the Service Men s Center this week end, with Miss Donna To!'3oe chairman. The defense chairman. Miss Lillian Young, explameu plans for gathering bundles of old clothing to be sent to Greece. Also, arrangements were made for the Christmas tea to be held December 19, at the home of 1....- Lillian Young. Miss Helma Kirk gave the les son on poetry, and Mrs. Helen Knight auctioned off the vacation gifts. Refreshments were served. Marriage Is Announced SALEM Mr. and Mrs. Amnion Am-nion O. Stone of Salem announce the marriage of their daughter, Vaunda, to Darwin V. Box, which took place Wednesday, Nov. 10 in the Salt Lake temple. A wedding reception was given Thursday evening at the Salem ward chapel with a host of relatives rel-atives and friends in attendance. Winners Named In Contest American Legion auxiliary mem bers met Thursday evening in the Public library, with Mrs. Frank Gardner, president, in charge. A report on membership was given by Mrs. Hulda Grover, who also announced winners of the membership contest, Mrs. Irene Mower, first, and Mrs. Catherine Anderson, second. Entertain For Idaho Residents SPANISH FORK Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Holm entertained at dinner din-ner in honor of Mrs. Christine Johnson and daughter, of Black-foot, Black-foot, Idaho. Mrs. Johnson Is a Sister of Mr. Holm. Other guests at the dinner were Mr. and Mrs. Ed King, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Nelson Nel-son of Palmyra and other sisters of Mr. Holm and their husbands. Mrs. Johnson was visiting briefly brief-ly in Spanish Fork. Over night guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Holm Saturday were Mr. and Mrs. William Wil-liam Bowers and son Arthur of Elko, Nevada. Mr. and Mrs. Holm had as dinner guests Sunday mem' bers of the Hezikiah Bowers family. Social Club Is Entertained A party for Cozette club members mem-bers was given by Mrs. Lois Curtis Thursday evening at her home. Bingo was played, Mrs. Nelda Jensen, Mrs. Coral Boswell and Mrs. Marjorie Brienholt winning the favors. Lunch was served. Y. U., gave a" delightfully interesting program, assisted by artists of the - university, at the guest session ses-sion of ? the Creative Fine Arts group, ' Alice Louise Reynolds club. The event was held Thursday afternoqn in the banquet hair of the Joseph Smith building. Mrs. Abner Tanner, president, made the welcoming remarks, and Mrs. V. J. Bird introduced Dr. de Jong. The program included hymns, ladies' trio, string quartet num bers, piano and baritone solos and anthems. The personnel of the string quartet includel: Katherine Mor rill, Niia Stubbs, Phyllis Barnes and Jean Perkins. The double mixed quartet comprised Nathele King, Lucy Bluth, Elizabeth Zun del, Dorothy Gilchrist, Elmo Coff man, Ariel Ballif, Ralph Britsch and Lea Valentine. The serving table was attractive with a gorgeous bouquet of yellow and bronze chrysanthemums and yellow and white marigolds, Yel low candles were in silver holders. Potted ferns and flowering plants were in profusion about the room Delicious refreshments were served to 60 members and guests. Hostesses were Mrs. V. J.
