Show Attractive MidWeek Event One of the prettiest weddings of the season was that held in the. Joseph Smith building Wednesday, Wed-nesday, evening to compliment Mr., and Mrs. David Earl Norton (Donna Beck) who were married Wednesday Wed-nesday noon in the Salt Lake temple. President Stephen L Chipman performed the ceremony, in the presence of the parents of the young couple, Mr, .and Mrs. Orin Beck of Provo, and Mr. and Mrs. M. Norton of Salt Lake City, formerly of Provo. Also, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Norton, and Mrs. Nazelle Bickley of Salt Lake City, an aunt of the groom. Guests, numbering 250 relatives and friends, were greeted at the door by Mr. and Mrs. Leo Lcrr-sen Lcrr-sen -and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Norton, and the receiving re-ceiving line comprised: the parents, William J. Sliced fruit should weigh 2 pounds. 2. Put; sliced fruit in S-quart kettle. Add the water and lemon Juice. 3. Bring to a quick boil;' boil gently for 1 hour (uncovered). If peel is not tender in" 1 hour, boil until tender. 4. Measure the cooked material. Due to boiling, the volume will be reduced re-duced below 7 cups. Add water to make total peel and Juice exactly 7 cups. - 5. Put back in kettle. Stir In M.CP. Pectin; continue stirring and bring to a full boil 6. Add sugar (previously measured). Stir gently until it has reached a full rolling boil, and BOIL EXACTLY EX-ACTLY 4 MINUTES. Remove from fire: skim and stir by turns for 5 minutes. 7. Pour into Jars. If you use pint or quart Jars, seal hot and invert Jars on lids until Marmalade begins to set Then, shake well and set Jars upright. This keeps the peel evenly distributed throughout NOTE: This recipe storks equally well with Navel Oranges or Valen eias. When either variety is overripe over-ripe said peel' is soft, use H-cup Lemon Juice instead of -eup. (Be sure to discard any seeds.) Mrs. Florence Mitchell gave an interesting talk on "Chinese Immortals," Im-mortals," and showed a collection of small Chinese statues. She was presented with a corsage by the club. After the quiet ceremony, a dinner was neia in honor of tne newlyweds, at the Grand hotel, in Reno, after which the couple left to spend a few days in San Francisco Fran-cisco and Stockton, Calif., before going on -to Klamath Falls, Ore., to make their home.
