Beautiful gifts were received by : the guest of honor. ' . : . Beehive Girls The Beehive gatherers of the ' Third ward were entertained by their teacher, Mrs. Sarah W. Bak-' Bak-' er, at' her home Tuesday evening. A program, with all girls, participating, par-ticipating, was enjoyed, and a delicious luncheon was served at otie long table. Beautiful garden - flowers were used to decorate. First Ward Women Feted The First ward Relief society entertained its members at a dinner din-ner and social Tuesday afternoon at the ward recreation hall, covers cov-ers 'being laid for 125 guests. Cesta Tie Girls Meet The Cesta Tie social unit of the B. Y. U. held its first meeting of the school year, at the home of the president, Maxine Taylor, Tuesday evening. Plans were discussed for the activities of the fall quarter, including in-cluding rushing and the annual autumn invitational. CHOCOLATE BREAD PUDDING VNBervi 6) - Two squares unsweetened chocolate, choc-olate, 3 cups milk, teaspoon salt, lA cup light brown sugar, firmly packed, 2 egg yolks, slightly beaten, IVi teaspoons vanilla, va-nilla, 6 slices stale bread, cut in 'a-inch cubes, 2 egg whites, 4 tablespoons ta-blespoons sugar. Add chocolate to milk and heat in 'double boiler. When chocolate is melted, beat with rotary egg beater until blended. Add salt. Combine brown sugar and egg yolks; add chocolate mixture gradually, stirring vigorously. Add vanilla. Combine bread and chocolate choc-olate mixture and let stand 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Turn into greased 'baking dish, place in pan of hot water, and bake in moderate oven, (350 deg. Opening R. S. Social fJnjoyed The opening social of the season, of the Third ward Relief society was a delightful affair of Tuesday Tues-day afternoon in the Relief society rooms.
