The curtain goes up on the final performance tonight at 8:15 in College hall. The three-act Victor Wolf son comedy is filled with delightful humor and sparkling dialogue, woven on the framework of an unusual plot. - When the passengers passeng-ers and crew of a pleasure boat decide to forsake the care of a superficial world and start life anew by sailing to a tropical island, their adventure gives them all a new emotional lift. Much of the entertainment-to be enjoyed in the play comes from excellent characterizations in a wide variety of roles roles that axe a cross section of life from a 'banker's family to the poorer classes that form the human hu-man cargd aboard the S. S. Happiness, Hap-piness, bound on its last excursion excur-sion trip around New York bay. Its crochety old captain is sincerely sin-cerely portrayed by Bob Bus-well, Bus-well, and his sea-dog brother, by Shirl Swenson. As Mrs. Geasling and her unmanageable un-manageable son, Kiirabeth Hill and Boyti. Furrier made a thoroughly thor-oughly amusing combination. Five of the six, two of -them being charged on two counts, pleaded guilty to operating eithrr slot machines or a lottery and received sentences from A. L. Booth, city judge pro tern. A. sixth defendant, M. C. Robinson, who operates a billiard parlor in American Fork, pleaded not guilty guil-ty to lottery charges. His trial will be booked in the near future. He was released without bond. II. E. Larsen, doing business as Bish'a Lunch, and W. F. Bowen each pleaded guilty to operating both a lottery and a slot machine. Each was sentenced to pav a $10 fine and serve two 30-day terms in Jail, the jail sentences suspended suspend-ed provided they break no gambling gamb-ling laws for six months. William Haase. doiner business as Tavern cafe in Provo, and C. J. Allen, doing business. as Thornton Drug in Provo. each pleaded guilty to operating a slot machine. A $10 line and a 30-day jail sen tence,, the latter suspended pro vided no laws are broken for six months, was Imposed on each. Jack .
