Show WR PrograuAe Opinion WE, THE PEOPLE. THOUGHTS WORTH READING STARTLING FACTS Wo told recently of the aucessful operation of the Ohio State Farm Bureau Cooperative Insurance and we have since then been reminded that there is a Cooperative Issurance Co., right here in Salt Lake, which also is endorsed by a Farm Bureau. This Cooperative aims to provide a death benefit at the cost of the death loss, plus a low administrative cost. This net cost is very low, only 15o for SI 00 insurance for one year for children 5 to 14 yeare, and $3 98 on an average for all per sons and all diseases in Utah, ages 1 to 55, for 81,000 insurance for 1 year. The net cost in the old companies is 87.48, By the Cooperative method Utah people have obtained insurance of 81,000 for one year at a cost of only $3.50. It has been shown that there is great loss to those who make insurance companies their bankers by adding savings to the cost of protection as only the face of the policy is paid at death no matter how long or how much one has paid above the cost of protection. And only a part of the earnings are returned if . he policy lapses. The governors oommittee of nine in 1936, found that for 15 years only five per cent of all Utah policies matured by death or otherwise. Utah pays 810,000,000 a year to 48 life insurance companies, and it is said that only 17 per cent remains or comes back here. Cooperation would remedy the and pay it all to the people Sess the cost of the service. ORGANIZATION On the question of neutrality we are with nhc president. But no matter how it goes this country, with every other nation, will eventually be drawn into the world debacle. Mark this.
