Governor's Proclamation Governor Maw has just issued a Proclamation, following one issued by the President, designating Monday, February Febru-ary 16, 1942, between the hoursof 7: 00 A. M. and 9 P.M. as the date and time for conducting the Third Registral ion under the SelectiveTraining and Service A'ct. Every male person attained his 20th anniversary on or before December Decem-ber 31, 1941, and who has not attained his 45th anniversary anniver-sary on Feb. 16, 1642, and not heretofore registered, is required to present himself for and submit to registration. This is very important. As One Man Thinketh. Cnce upm a lime we wrote an edilo ial headed, As One Man Thinketh. It contained this quotation: "I'm glad that I am not the man who takes, the renta certain widow pays.'" A corporation lawyer happened to see it and remarked: re-marked: "You're the only man who thinks that way." We repeat it now and say the same thing with all the force we have And why? Because we have come in contact wit h a letter from Zion's Savings & Trust Co., which demands that the rent be raised from $20 a month to S30 a month on a little home where a widow lives. And not one thing has been done nor anything added to the home to justify this raise of 33 and 1-3 per cent. When, oh when will greed be satisfied? How we Song to see the day when they can grapple enough money to their souls to satisfy their craving. May either the good Lord -or the bad devil see to it that they are glutted to capacity with silver and gold until they are miserable wit it in this life and have nothing to look upon in the next but their columns and page? of rent and interest figures.
