Show A Working Man But More The strange being who once lived in Judea was not ashamed asham-ed to be known as a working man. He worked with Joseph at the carpenter's bench until he was nearly 30. During this time he helped to meet the heavy tax burdens laid upon the poor, to provide food and shelter for his brothers and sisters; and he shared the worry of the family about making a living. He was a student and studied the history of his nation and learned the story of its great champions for freedom and justice just-ice for the people. In his first message at Nazareth he declared his absolute oneness with the people and announced that his purpose on earth was to preach the gospel to the poor and to carry on God' fight against tyrants and to make free those whom tyranny had crushed. |
