Show Associated Business Men To Hear Talk By Salt Lake Editor Robert W. Bemick, business editor of the Salt Lake Tribune, will be guest speaker at a dinner meeting of the Associated Businessmen Busi-nessmen of Pleasant Grove next Monday. According to Junius A. West, president of the local organ- ization, the meeting will be held at 12:15 p.m. at the Alpine Villa Grill. Mr. Bemick will discuss present pres-ent business trends and methods of cooperatin for the benefit of all concerned. He comes to Pleasant Grove highly recommended. Mr. Bemick is a native of Osk-aloosa, Osk-aloosa, Iowa and a graduate of the Missouri School of Journalism, at Columbia, Missouri. Following service in the Western Pacific area as a nose gunner on a B-24 with the Seventh Air Force he returned to Jefferson City, Mo., as a legislative reporter for the United Press. Later he joined the Associated Press at the Missouri Capitol City. He came to Utah in 1948 as a reporter for the old Salt Lake Telegt im. Following brief service in Nevada for the Kennecott Copper Cop-per Co., he returned to Salt Lake as business editor of the Salt Lake Tribune. Mr. West stated Uvat other business busi-ness to come before the meeting-includes meeting-includes a report of the year's activities ac-tivities including the financial report re-port and the election of officers for 1957. Officers to be elected are a president, pres-ident, vice president and two directors dir-ectors for a term of two yeai-s each. A secretary-treasurer will be appointed by the newly-elected officers. In view of the importance of the Monday meeting, a full attendance of members is requested, Mr. West explained. |
