Show School News PLEASANT GROVE TIES LEHI A closely contested football game was played last Friday at Lehi between be-tween Pleasant Grove and Lehi. Working against the handicap of a strong wind Pleasant Grove succeeded suc-ceeded in keeping the ball in Lehi's territory for three quarters. The game ended with the score tied at 6-6. Pleasant Grove's score came in the first quarter, Cobbley carrying carry-ing the ball over center. Lehi scored scor-ed in the fourth quarter after placing plac-ing the ball on Pleasant Grove's 11 yard line following a 25 yard forward for-ward pass, Chilton going over tackle for the touchdown to even the score. A delightiul evening of games and dances was enjoyed by members of j the Girls Athletic Association and I their partners Friday, October 20th, in the High School Gym. The affair af-fair was under the direction of Miss Nina White. The G. A. A. interclass volleyball series was completed Friday when the Seniors and Juniors met in the most exciting game of the series. The Juniors nosed out with a 30-27 score to gain the championship. The Seniors and Sophomores won one game and lost three while the Juniors Jun-iors won four' and lost none. The game was played in two fifteen minute min-ute periods. Captains of the teams were: Seniors, Jennie Burch; Juniors, Jun-iors, Josephine Farr; Sophomores, Elaine Fenton. Mildred Fowlke con-iucted con-iucted the series. Tryouts for the annual school play vere held last week. The play .elected for this year is "The King Hides By" a very interesting modern :omedy. Those selected in the cast ire: Charles Harris, Elmer Foutz, Dorothy Williamson, Mercelle Farr, Huth Anderson, Ernest Grua, Beth De Camp, Ray Mills, Maxine Walk-:r, Walk-:r, Kayle Linebaugh, Forrest Smith md Louise West, Dramatic manager, Alfred Dexter.
