Show Thursday, "10 IT. 1982 -- Page 22 ORDINANCE NO. 8 AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING RECENT AMENDMENTS TO THE UTAH TRAFFIC CODE. Be it ordained by the City Council of American Fork as follows: Section I. THE UTAH TRAFFIC CODE-- - Rules of the Road 1978, as adopted and passed by American Fork City as the Traffic Code for this municipality is hereby amended to incorporate all Amendments to Chapter VI, itle 41, Utah Code Annotated, 19,53 as presently enacted by the Utah Legislature. Section II. In the opinion of the city Council of american Fork, it is necessary for the preservation of the welfare, health peace, and safety for the inhabitants of American Fork City that this ordinance take effect immediately upon its passage and first publication. BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of Lehi City, Utah County, State of Utah: Section 1 Criminal Code Adopted The Utah Criminal Code - 1978 Edition, Volume 8B and Amendments thereto as contained in the 1982 Pocket Supplement to Volume 8B (1978 edition), three copies of which have been filed for use and examination by the public office of the Recorder, is hereby approved and adopted as the Criminal Code for this municipality. Section 2. Citation To Code Where a citation or information is issued, it shall be sufficient to use the number of the Utah Code followd by "Lehi City Criminal Code" to show the section of the ordinance of the City which has been violated. Section 3. Severability The provision of this Ordinance and the provisions adopted or incorporated by reference are severable. Section 4. Repealer The provisions of other ordinances in conflict with this and the provisions adopted or incorporated by reference are hereby repealed. Section 5. Emergency Clause This Ordinance being immediately necessary for the preservation of the peace, health, safety and welfare of the inhabitants of the City of Lehi, it shall take effect upon its first publication and posting.
