Show Utah Lions Clubs to Hold Convention in Heber This Week HERER CITY More than 1,000 Utah Lions and their ladies will be visiting Heber Valley this week as they meet for the 1974 Utah State Lions convention Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The Heber and Kamas Valley Lions Clubs are co-hosting the event and members have been working for months to prepare for the convention. The main business to be taken ta-ken care of during the convention conven-tion will be election of district governors for the four Utah districts. Othre highlights scheduled sche-duled will include introduction of Lions International director, Joseph W. Rabbittt, and a ladies lad-ies Luncheon Fashion Show on Friday. The grand finale will be the district governor's banquet and ball on Saturday evening. Voting for district governors will be Saturday morning and results will be announced during dur-ing the banquet that evening. District governors will be elected elec-ted for districts 28-U, 28-T, 28-A and 28-H. Mr. Rabbitt will address the convention during the Saturday Satur-day evening banquet. The Ladies luncheon-fashion show, to be held at the Wasatch Was-atch Stake Center on Friday, will have decorations utilizing the theme 'Lavender and Lace' with a garden scene as the setting for eight local ladies to model the latest styles. Business meetings will not take up all the time, and there has been time allowed for golf-ng golf-ng at Wasatch Mountain State Park Golf Course and a barbecue bar-becue has been planned at the Wasatch High School on Friday Fri-day evening. |
