Show AN ORDINANCE AN )RDINANCE AMENDING THE PROVISIONS OF SEC-J)N SEC-J)N 9-3-4 OF THE CITY CODE OF THE CITY OF PLEASANT GROVE TO PROVIDE FOR A DEPOSIT OF TWENTY-FIVE DOLLARS ($25.00) UPON THE APPLICATION APPLI-CATION FOR WATER SERVICES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PLEASANT PLEAS-ANT GROVE CITY AS FOLLOWS: Section 9-3-4: Application for Water service; deposit: Any person desiring a supply of water from the system, where such service is available, shall apply therefore to the Recorder, and file an agreement with the City, which agreement and application shall be in the following form: APPLICATION FOR SERVICE , Utah To Pleasant Grove City, a municipal corporation: The undersigned hereby applies for water service from Pleasant Grove City Corporation for his premises located at and hereby agrees to pay for service charges for water and sewer as fixed by the City of Pleasant Grove and in the event of failure to pay the water or sewer as provided by law, that the City shall, have the right to shut off water at its election, and agrees to be bound by the rules and regulations and ordinances of the City of Pleasant Grove for the control of its water system. By executing this application, also agrees, to permit Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove City to install water meter and service on owner's property near front property line, and hereby gives his consent to Pleasant Grove City, through its agents to enter upon the property serviced by said water system for the purpose of installing meters and reading and maintaining said system and meter. Legal Owner Tenant The application shall be accompanied by a deposit of $25.00 to guarantee payment of all water rights and costs. In the event the user shall fail to pay his water charges the deposit shall be forfeited and applied on all such delinquencies. Upon the termination of service, the deposit shall be returned to the depositor provided all such charges have been paid. In the opinion of the City Council of Pleasant Grove City it is necessary for the immediate preservation of the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of Pleasant Grove City that this Ordinance take effect immediately upon its passage and first publication.
