Show Hughes Brockbank Will Speak at C of C Banquet State Senator .Hughes Brock-bank Brock-bank will be the speaker at the annual Chamber of Commerce Com-merce banquet set for Friday, Dec. 31, according to C of C President Gerald Belliston. The banquet will begin at 7-30 p.m. and has been scheduled sched-uled for the Pleasant Grove High School lunch room. Senator Brockbank is a prominent prom-inent civic and business leader of Salt Lake City, and has engaged en-gaged in affairs of civic interest inter-est for many years. He is also a past president of the Utah State Jaycee organization. He is sure to bring an interesting talk to Pleasant Grove citizens. Ballots for the annua election elec-tion have been sent out last week, and should be returned by Monday, Jan. 27, according to Grant Atwood, secretary. He urged members to get their ballots in on time, so they can be counted. Seven new directors direc-tors will be voted on and they wlil be announced at the banquet ban-quet next Friday. Tickets are currently being sold by C of C directors and all local citizens are urged to contact a director and buy a ticket. The Chamber of Commerce Com-merce can only be as strong as the pleople who participate in it, and the officers and directors direc-tors urge everyone to come out and support your community, and the Chamber of Commerce. Tickets may be picked up at Lee's Barber Shop, Ted's Barber Bar-ber Shop, Smith Drag Co., Utah Power and Light Co., Christen-sen's Christen-sen's Store, Atwood Realty and at the Review office. An early reservation for the banquet will be appreciated for planning purposes. |
