D ri aid RlGLER Pleasant Grove Mayor Jim Danklef presented his number one priorities for his city during the American Fork Rotary Club's weekly luncheon meeting. In relating his determination determina-tion to meet these priorities, he summarized a quote he recently read saying A winner win-ner does things a loser refuses refus-es to do." Danklef wants these items to be completed or under construction a year from now. The first priority is to begin final construction on the road through 2000 West to 700 North in Lindon. "We have worked with Lindon," he said. He expects to be able to move this project proj-ect along with the continued cooperation of Mayor Larry Ellertson of Lindon. Danklef said he believes this project is needed now to help the increasing iraitic demands on State Street. "We would like to begin construction this spring and we will need the land owners to get on board," he said. The mayor's second priority priori-ty is to upgrade or construct a number of city buildings including the fire station, library, and a recreation center. cen-ter. "All of these items would require bonds and will need citizen support," he said. "These items are part of my five-year plan that started two years ago when I became mayor." "The fire station is not up to earthquake code and needs to be replaced," he said. One possible solution would involve replacing the fire station and upgrading the library as part of the same project. 4 . 1 hm L JV. an 4 " . The f.. mayor if?
