Kim Bonnett Bon-nett of Lindon, are pleased to announce the marriage of their son Brody Bonnett to Loren K. Manning, daughter daugh-ter of Tayler and Billie Manning of Naperville, Illinois. Illi-nois. The couple exchanged vows in the Nauvoo LDS Temple on Dec. 30. An open house will honor the newly-weds newly-weds Saturday, Jan. 31 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wadley Farms, 35 E. 400 North, Lindon. All friends and family are invited invit-ed to attend. The bride is a graduate of Naperville North High School, and Ricks College. Brody Bonnett Loren Manning She is finishing her B.S. at UVSC. Loren is presently employed as an academic advisor for the Dental Hygiene department at UVSC. The groom is a graduate of Pleasant Grove High School, is attending UVSC and served in the France Marseilles LDS Mission. The couple will make their first home in Lindon. '- ----lsr- Valentines cooking party set Make chocolate window heart cookies, candy love bugs, heart shaped pizzas or a valentines hunt for family fami-ly and friends at this Feb. 11 Pleasant Grove Recreation Center event. The party will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. in the center preschool room, 41 E. 200 South, for children chil-dren ages 5 and over. The cost is $15 and $12 for each additional child, register by Feb. 2 at the center. Center offers kids chef class A kids chef class will be offered Wednesdays through the Pleasant Grove Recreation Center from Feb- 25 to March 24, skipping Feb. 10. from 5 to 7 p.m. at the recreation recre-ation center. This event is for ages 8 and up and costs $45. Register at the center, 41 E. 200 South, no later than Feb. 17, or register by Feb. 9 and save $3. The class will make a variety of food including Italian, Chinese, Mexican, and American dishes complete with table decorations. Annual date contest begins Pleasant Grove City Recreation, 41 E. 200 South, is taking husband and wife date night contest entries for the most romantic mate and most creative surprise date. Entries must describe why a mate deserves the most romantic mate award and what they do for their spouse, or describe what the surprise was and what made it unique. Winners will receive overnight stay packages as prizes. The deadline for the entries is Feb. 14. Playtime Toddlers class offered A Playtime Toddlers class will be offered on Tuesday mornings from 10:30 to 11:30 for those 2 to 4 years old at the Pleasant Grove Recreation Center, 41 E. 200 South. Tuition is $25 a month with a one-time $15 supply fee covering supplies and field trip costs. An adult must attend with the child. Classes started Jan. 6 with monthly month-ly themes. Little Hoopsters registration Feb. 2 A Little Hoopsters basketball clinic for kindergarten to first grade boys and girls is holding registration Feb. 2 to 28 at the Pleasant Grove Community Center, 41 E. 200 South. The cost is $20 with late registrants paying an extra $5. The league will begin March 20 with teams formed along school and friend requests as much as possible. pos-sible. This is a learning league and is designed to help the children practice basic skills and learn the game rules. Itty Bitty Ball registration Feb. 13 Itty Bitty Ball is registering through Feb. 13 at the Pleasant Grove Community Center, 41 E. 200 South. The program is designed for ages 3 and 4 to work on pre-sport skills such as catching, kicking and throwing. Parents will be required to participate with their child. They are Jessica Kernan, Brenda Leon, Amy Reynolds, Dan Long, Jordan P. Hayne and Jacob Oldroyd. Daniel Long has lived in Pleasant Grove for less than one year. He spent his first 7 years in Salt Lake and then the family moved to Missoula, Montana, then the family was transferred to Detroit, Michigan in 1999. He enjoyed all the places where he lived. He is currently involved in karate and just completed his Eagle Scout project. He especially enjoys his Hebrew and radio classes and enjoys auto mechanics. He has three brothers and two sisters Jessica Kernan was born in Tiffin, Ohio and is the youngest of four children. She has many interests with success in running, Softball, scrap booking, crafts and her favorite Dolly Reese celebrates 95th birthday Dolly Rigtrup Simmons Reese will celebrate her 95th birthday on Jan. 30. She was born in Spanish Fork on Jan. 30, 1909, the third child in a family of five. As a youth she was active in sports and music. She married Edward (Ted) Simmons of Payson, who died in 1947. In 1949, she married Joe Reese (now deceased) and moved to American Fork. She was employed by Ellison Cleaners Clean-ers as a seamstress for many years. She has always enjoyed sewing. Many of her grandchildren grand-children and great-grandchildren have hand-stitched hand-stitched quilts and crocheted cro-cheted afghans and doilies made by their Grandma Dolly. Dolly enjoyed singing and has belonged to many musical groups. She sang in the American Fork Civic Chorus for many years. activity is horse management. manage-ment. Jessica is an outstanding out-standing student and has a talent in art, she would like to be an interior decorator when she has graduated from college. Brenda Leon has always been interested in people, she cares about others and makes sure everyone is having hav-ing a good time. She loves to dance and enjoys being part of the ballroom team at Pleasant Grove High. She is seeking a career helping others, the medical field calls her attention and she is starting classes to be a nurse assistant. Amy Reynolds was born in Florida and moved to Pleasant Grove when she was 13 years old. She is the seventh of eight children. Her favorite classes are sports medicine and medical med-ical anatomy. She hopes to go to college at BYU and wants to be an athletic trainer or go into physical therapy. Amy enjoys playing soccer and works at Picasso's Picas-so's Bakery in American Fork. Jordon Hayne is one of seven children and he is a , . v.'- . X' V, - - 1 v ' : -- ' - Dolly Reese She has served in her church by holding such positions as Primary President Presi-dent and Relief Society President and secretary. She has served many years as a visiting teacher. She has lived her life in care and kindness to friends and family. She has two children: Ted C. Simmons and Carol Ackerman, both of Pleasant Grove. She has two stepchildren: step-children: Eldon Reese of American Fork and Blair Reese of Orem. She had 20 grandchildren, grandchil-dren, 60 great-grandchildren and 15 great-greatgrandchildren.
