He was corn on January 8, 1928, in Lonoke, Arkansas, to Floyd and L e n n i e Chivers. He was the youngest of eight boys. . He married Lola Udall on June 6, 1951. Later their marriage was solemnized solem-nized in the Provo LDS Temple. Bobby was a Union Bricklayer and served as Business Agent for fifteen years. He received his Gold Union Card for fifty years of service. serv-ice. He was proud to have served in the U.S. Navy. He was an active member and High Priest of the LDS Church. Bobby was preceded in death by his son, Rusty Chivers. He is survived by his wife, Lola, Lehi; his two sons, Scott Chivers and Clay (Kim) Chivers, Provo; and his daughter, Jill (David) Timpson, Alpine. He is also survived by his brother, Dan (Minnie) Chivers, Lonoke, AR.; brothers-in-law, Leonard "Gus" Udell, Robert Udell, and Kent Udell; sisters-in-law, Cheri Udell Robinson, Christine Udell Evans, and Kathryn Udell McCarrie. Bobby was the proud grandfather of thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Everyone loved Bobby for his wry sense of humor, and genuine affection for people. We love you Bobby and we will miss you deeply. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 24, 2001, at 12:00 noon in the Lehi 19th Ward Chapel, 145 E. 1500 No. Friends and family fam-ily may call at the church Friday evening from 6-8 p.m., and Saturday one hour prior to services. Sam is survived by 2 sons, Ed (Sandy) Huggard, Las Vegas; Charles (Cindy) Huggard, Salt Lake City; 2 daughters, Rosalind (Stephen) Trease, West Valley City; Connie Eye, Taylorsville; 9 grandchildren, grandchil-dren, 11 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Clyde (Thelma) Carson; 1 sister, Thelma Bryant; 1 sister-in-law, Charlotte Carson, several sev-eral nieces and nephews, and a good friend, Ross "Hop" Cassidy. He was preceded pre-ceded in death by his parents, par-ents, 4 brothers, Melvin and Cyril Huggard; Les and George Carson, and a granddaughter, Theresa Huggard. Funeral services were Monday, March 19, 2001, at Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 E. 100 N., American Fork. Burial, American Fork Cemetery. Samuel Charles Huggard, 72, died Thursday, March 15, 2001. He was born June 23, 1928, in Salt Lake City, to Samuel Charles and Mary L o v i r a Johnson Huggard. He married Dorothy Cerny July 10, 1947 in Ely, Nevada; and they were later divorced. He married Bessie Johnson September 22, 1975 in Elko, Nevada; she died April 25, 1978. Sam was retired from Deseret Chemical Depot. He was a collector of antiques and cars and loved to trade. ,He had many friends who .'dearly loved him. He loved hunting and being outdoors, and especially loved being INancy Rawson Parduhn family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Jerry; 1 son, and 2 daughters: David (Kayla) Parduhn, Alpine; Julie (Rick) Jones, Highland; Shelie Hale, American Fork; 12 grandchildren; 2 sisters and 1 brother, Dorothy Davis, Orem; Dan Rawson, Sandy; Mary Bandley, Las Vegas. She was preceded in death by her parents, and 1 grandchild. Funeral services will be Friday, March 23, 2001, at 11:00 a.m. at the Strasburg LDS Chapel, 6000 West 10400 North, Highland. She was active in the LDS Church; was a temple worker in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple for 3 years. She loved being a grandma and enjoyed family fami-ly activities. She loved gardening, gar-dening, flowers, and the outdoors. She dedicated a lifetime of service to her V ) ) P 39 0 Ray Conder Nelson Beloved family patriarch Ray Conder Nelson passed away in his sleep at home on March 18, 2001. was May 1917, He born 1, in i - m. t i- f American Fork, Utah, to Wilford Osmond Nelson and Stella Conder Nelson, oldest of five sons. He graduated from American Fork High School and Brigham Young University. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in England in the Army Air Corp. He married his high school sweetheart, Affra McNeill, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on December 12, 1945. They are the parents of three children, Dennis, Richard, and Marilyn. After serving in World War II for four-and-one-half years, he began his service to American Fork City He served under 8 mayors for 36 uninterrupted years. He was known as "Mister American Fork." He was a longtime public pub-lic servant and a friend of the community. An avid fisherman, fisher-man, he never met a brown trout he did not like or a creek he did not fall into! His greatest great-est joy in life was his family. He if survived by his loving wife; sons Dennis (Norine), South Jordan; Richard (Marilyn B.), Wellsville; daughter Marilyn (Paul) Snell, Sandy; 16 grandchildren, grandchil-dren, (2 serving missions for the Church) and 12 greatgrandchildren great-grandchildren (and 2 more expected soon); brothers Bill (JoEllen), Twin Falls, Idaho; Glen (June) missionaries in the Iowa Des Moines Mission; and sister-in-law Willa Nelson, Draper. He was preceded pre-ceded in death by a great-grandson great-grandson and brothers, James B. (Jim) and Robert K (Bob) Nelson. Funeral services will be Thursday, March 22, at 11 a.m. at the American Fork 18th Ward, 381 South 300 East. Annleigh Kay McManis Annleigh Kay McManis, 39, of Spanish Fork died March 16, 2001. She was born September 22, 1961 to Stanley and Linda Kay Marn McManis. She graduated from Shawnee Mission South High School in Overland Park, KS. She attended Ricks College and graduated from Brigham Young University. She also served an LDS mission mis-sion to Washington, D.C. Annleigh was currently employed as a Test Engineer by Meta Storm of Orem, and was also the Cedar Hills correspondent cor-respondent for New Utah! In her spare time she loved to be with children, write music, research genealogy, and go camping. She is survived by her six week-old son, Robert Alan McManis; her parents of Overland Park, Kan., Stanley Leon and Linda Kay Marn McManis; two brothers and a sister: Stanley L. (Lee) McManis II and his wife Leslie, of the U.S. Embassy, Moscow, Russia; Kelsey Dean McManis, Kansas City, MO; Alana Lynn Groshong and her husband, Terry of Overland Park, Kan. Other survivors include nieces Tara Groshong King and her husband hus-band Matt King, Jessika Groshong, , Lindsey Groshong, and Haley King, a grand-niece. Paternal Grandparents: Lyman R. and Mildred I. Evans, Maternal Grandmother: Virginia Powell, and Aunts: Sue Ravenscraft and Terry Mclntire, as well as numerous numer-ous great-aunts and uncles.
