Brimley's Diner in Lehi promises prom-ises to makeWiat combination the right mix for good meal. Owner Bill Brimley, also a former Burger King manager, once worked in food and guest services at the Opryland Hotel. During his time in the South, he took a crash course in the secret ofagreatrecipe for barbecue pork ribs. Now serving ribs made with the famous sauce, Brimley learned the technique from the owner of The Rendezvous, so famous for their ribs that they sell five tons of ribs each week. The business is even featured as a hangout in the movie The Firm." Brim ley's offers the specialty on Friday and Saturday nights in addition ad-dition to the weekday lunch specials spe-cials that are fast becoming popular. popu-lar. "I wanted to be in business for myself," said Brimley. "And I wanted to be in a small town: A former Lehi resident, Brimley and his family have just purchased a home in Lehi and will be returning to live in the community. If that background wasn't enough, Bill has also enlisted the help of Keith Alger, former owner of the renowned Keith's Lunch in Provo. "I've been cooking just short of half a century," said Keith. He sold hisestablishmentonce.butthedeal fell through and he started again for two years, finally relinquishing the business for health reasons. The feisty cook is a hit with the customers, many of whom call him by name when they come in to eat. "If I'm here long enough, Bill will become just like me," he said.
