Mr. Dudley, head of the "state Turkey Growers' convention, is attending the state convention in Salt Lake this week. Mr. and Mrs. Al Beckstead and daughter Lois, of Lark, visited here Monday with Mrs. Beckstead's parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Willis Fredericks. " Mrs. Owen Humphries entertained a few lady friends at her home Monday evening. The time spent In playing games, followed by the serving of dainty refreshments. Sweet peas 'and carnations were used In decorating the living room. Prizes during the evening were won by Mrs. Beulah Evans and Edith Brown. Those, bidden Mrs. E. Ray Gardner and two small daughters are visiting in Murray Mur-ray this week with a "sister of Mrs. Gardner and with relatives in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Everett Devey left Friday for California after an extended ex-tended visit here with Mr. Devey's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Devey. They will then travel up the coast to Oregon where Mrs. Devey's folks reside. The Variety Club was enteralned was 'Friday afternoon last by Miss Lillie Shafter. Miss LuRae Buckwalter arrived in American Fork Tuesday evening from Ogden. where she has been en-Joying en-Joying a visit since Christmas time 'with her sister, Mrs. Earl Matnews and family. Miss Buckwalter was released in Julv from the Eastern States mission, where she spent two years, and following her release was proffered a splendid position in one of the New York stores where she has since been employed. She and her mother, Mrs. Martha Buckwalter, Buckwal-ter, wm visit here indefinitely. Many splendid reports came from her mission mis-sion associates of her labors while in the Eastern States. The Adams Camp, Daughters of Utah Pioneers, met Thursday afternoon, after-noon, January 12, at the home of Mrs. Rose H. Grant. Mrs. Ada Baker conducted the .meeting which opened with the group singing "We Thank Thee O God For a Prophet", after ; which Chaplain Elizabeth Ovard offered' prayer. .
