Show Funeral Services Held Wednesday For Annie Flygare Funeral services were held Wednesday Wed-nesday at 2 p.m. in the Berg Drawing Room Chapel for Annie Louise Peay Flygare, 86. Eugene Bezzant, member of the Bishopric of the Pleasant Grove Third Ward, officiated. Opening number was sung by Grant Flygare of Charleston, a grandson, "Beyond the Sunset," and the invocation was offered by Max Harding, Salt Lake City, also a grandson. Speakers were Harold Flygare of Ogden and Kenneth Flygare of Firth, Idaho, both grandsons. "My Testimony" was sung by Mrs. Richard Johnson of Provo. Closing speaker was Patriarch William D. Norman of Provo, former for-mer member of the bishopric in the Flygare family's ward. Grant Flygare sang the closing number, "Beautiful Isle." Benediction Bene-diction was pronounced by John Flygare of Orem, a grandson. Interment was made in the Provo City Cemetery where Patriarch Pa-triarch John Evert of Ogden, a nephew, offered the dedicatorial prayer. Pallbearers all grandsons, were Kenneth Adamson, Wayne, Karl and William Flygare, Byron Duke and Douglas Harding. Mrs. Flygare died Sunday afternoon after-noon following a short illness at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Adamson, where she had made her home for some time. Mrs. Adamson is the daughter of Mrs. Flygare. Mrs. Flygare was bom Sept. 30 1889 in Provo, a daughter of Edward Ed-ward and Amanda Stubbs Peay. She received heir education in Provo Pro-vo Schools. On Feb. 27, 1889 she married Osoar William Flygare Sr. in the Manti LDS Temple. Mi-. Flygare died Nov. 18, 1934. Following their marriage they had made their home in Provo, living liv-ing on a farm in the Lakeview area. In 1918 they sold the farm and moved into town to 737 W. 1st N., making their home there until a few years ago, when Mrs. Flygare moved to Pleasant Grove to live witlh her daughter. Mrs. Flygare was an active mmeber of the LDS Church, serving serv-ing dn the Pioneer Ward Primary and Relief Society. She was also an active visiting teacher in Provo Pro-vo until she moved to Pleasant Grove. She has two grandsons now serving LDS missions. - Mrs. Fiygare was known for her generosity, having given food and clothing to many strangers in need. She will be remembered by those who knew her for her -great love for her fellow man. Survivors include two sons and three daughters, Oscar W. Flygare Fly-gare Jr., Lehi; Jay Kenneth Flygare Fly-gare Sr., Provo; Mrs. Heber B. (LaVern) Duke, Provo; Mrs. A. T. (Ethel) Harding, Heber City; and Mrs. J. 'Mdltan (Thelma) Adamson, Ad-amson, Pleasant Grove; 31 grandchildren, grand-children, 70 great -grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Francis Clark, Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Vern (Emma) Leetham, Provo. |
