Show Funeral Is Held For John D. Brown Funeral services were conducted Saturday in the First ward chapel for John D. Brown, native of PI. Grove, who died earlier in the week at an Ogden hospital. With Bishop Welby Gammon officiating, of-ficiating, the services began, at 1 p.m. with prayer being offered by Junius A. West. A life sketch of Mr. Brown was given by Jerrylyn Weeks. Speakers who told of the fine character of the dead man and offered of-fered words of faith and encouragement encour-agement to his family were Vivian Viv-ian Coon and D. Arnold West, with closing remarks by Bishop Gammon. Music included two vocal duets, "In the Garden" and "Softly and Tenderly Jesus Is Calling," by Mrs. S. W. Hilton and Elwood Allen .accompanied by Miss Utah-na Utah-na Walker, and the closing number, num-ber, "The Lord's Prayer" by Mrs. Lynell J. Cooper, accompanied by Miss Margene Page. Benediction was pronounced by David Blackhurst of the ward bishopric. I Burial directed by Olpin Mor- tuary, was made in the Pleasant Grove City cemetery, where Bishop Bish-op Gammon offered the dedicat-orial dedicat-orial prayer. Pallbearers were: Paul Adam-son, Adam-son, LeVere Wright, Lyean Johnson, John-son, Clair Weeks, J. A. West, and 1 D. H. Gardiner . The T. C. C. 4-H Club met May 22, at the home of their leader Mrs. Ruby Warnick, President Diane Warnick conducted ' the meeting. Correct measurement was de- monstrated by Carol Harper and Norene Bylund, Geraldine Stewart, Diane Warnick, Karen Walker, and Joyce Nelson discussed cookie making. Other club business was taken up, before the club members were dismissed. |
