Show Rudolph William Claij Norma J. Chamberlain Rudolph William Clark, 87, died Sept. 2G, 1983, in Murray, Utah. He was born Oct. 13, 1895 in Denver, Colo., to Richard R. and May Ladd Clark. He married Grace Grimm Sept. 12, 1922, in Denver, Colo. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church and a member of the Carpenters Union 727 in Provo. Mr. Clark was a veteran of World War I. He is survived by his wife of American Fork; one daughter, Mrs'. Grace Chenney Ek of Woodland Hills, Calif.; 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs'. 7 a. i Mortuary ,,1 one hour J;- Ct 'n,the Ai : itl Norma Jean Chamberlain, 61, died Sept. 23, 1983. She was born April 25, 1922 in Rapid City, S.D., to Leslie J. and Isabelle Felix Schurger. She married Leroy J. Chamberlain Aug. 9, 1944, in Las Vegas, Nev. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was a member of the American Fork 23rd Ward and served in Relief Society for many years. She was a "beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband and five daughters, Mrs. Robert L. (Linda) Scott, Simi, Calif.; Mrs. Robert J. (Susan) Brown, Irvine, Calif.; Mrs. Craig L. (Julie) Peck, Fairfield, Calif.; Mrs. Keith (Chris) Jenkins, Lehi; and Mrs. William T. (Debra) Bowles, Orem; 11 grandchildren; two brothers, Paul Schurger and Robert Schurger, both of Rapid City, S.C.; two sisters, Mrs. James (Julie) Barton, LaSalle, Colo.; and Mrs. Henry (Clair) Maron, Fridley, Minn. Funeral services were held Tuesday in the American Fork 23rd LDS Ward Chapel. Burial was in the American Fork City Cemetery. Howard B. Passey Howard Budge Passey, 68, beloved husband, brother, father and grandfather, died Sept. 21, 1983 in Carlsbad, N.M. while on a family vacation. He was born April 28, 1915 in Logan, Utah, to Edward John and Effie Budge Passey. He married Beth Elena Hendricks March 17, 1937 in the Logan LDS Temple. Mr. Passey attended school in Logan and graduated from Utah State University. He worked for the Soil Conservation Service of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. He was a state range specialist for the states of Utah, Arizona and Texas. He served as regional chief of Range in the Port land Regional Office and was Chief of Range Conservation from 1972 to 1974 in Washington, D.C. Mr. Passey was a delegate to the international in-ternational range land conference in Helsinki, Finland, where he presented a technical paper on grassland management. He published numerous scientific papers, including in-cluding the Range Management Handbook, Hand-book, used by the SCS. He discovered a previously unidentified species of wild onion which was named Allium Passeyi in his honor. He was an active High Priest in the LDS Church, and held numerous leadership and teaching positions. He was an avid gardner and fisherman. He is survived by his wife, three sons and one daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Kaye) Smith, Lehi; E.J. Passey, Casper, Wyo.; Howard Jr., Lisle, 111.; and William Passey, Sandy; 28 grandchildren; brother, Scott Passey, Provo; and sisters, Mrs. Wimmer (Cleone) Mortensen, Para wan; and Mrs. Charles (Doris) Williams, Twin Falls, Ida. He is preceeded in death by a daughter-in-law Pamela Pame-la P. Passey, and a granddaughter, Jolyn Passey. Funeral services were held Saturday in the American Fork 12th Ward. Burial was in the American Fork City Cemetery. |
