Show Funeral Rites for Mary Jorgensen Held Wednesday Funeral services for Mary Ellen Bullock Jorgensen, 89, who died Feb. 5, 1978 were held Wednesday, Feb. 8, at 11 a.m. in the Grove Ward Chapel, under the direction of Bishop Ronald Norton. Speakers at the services were Thomas Larsen and President Mack Palmer, and a biographical sketch was given by Georgia B. Schaefer. Musical numbers were given by William E. Petersen, who sang a vocal solo, and a vocal trio, Mae Bezzant, Lora Johnson and Nicole Griffith, accompanied by Rosa Mae Gurr. Prayers were given by Samuel E. Jorgensen, Harold J. Degelbeck and Keith Bezzant, Bez-zant, and the grave in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery was dedicated by Merriel Wathen. Pallbearers were Max and Scott Degelbeck, Larry, Kent, Lynn and Craig Jorgensen. Honorary pallbearers were David, Ronald, Dan, Ned, Gordon, Kim, Wayne and Samuel C. Jorgensen; Paul Conrow, Carl Clark, Mark Warnick, Norman Nor-man Kirkham, Sidney Pennington, Pen-nington, Norman Berry, John Skinner and Wayne Wilson. Mary Ellen Bullock Jnre-ensen was born Jan. 5. 1889 in Pleasant Grove to William and Clara Ellen Marrott Bullock. She married Samuel Obid Jorgensen on June 30, 1911 in Provo. The marriage was later solemnized solem-nized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Nov. 4, 1968. Mrs. Jorgensen had lived in Pleasant Grove and Ophir, Tooele County. She was an active member of the LDS Church and at the time of her death was the oldest member of the Grove Ward. Survivors include six sons and two daughters, Samuel E. Jorgensen, River Heights, Cache County; George Em-merson Em-merson Jorgensen, Tooele; Mrs. Helen Degelbeck, Ophir; William Mark Jorgensen, Lindon; Max Jorgensen, Glen Jorgensen, both of Pleasant Grove; Gerald B. Jorgensen, Lehi; Arlene Louise Jorgensen, Jorgen-sen, Tuba City, Ariz.; 28 grandchildren, 46 great-granchildren; great-granchildren; and one brother, Harold H. Bullock, Pleasant Grove. |
