Show Funeral Services 1 Held Saturday For Florence Tyler Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 3 for Florence Virginia Harvey Tyler, who died Aug. 31 in Salt Lake City. The services were held in the Olpin Family Mortuary, Pleasant Grove, under the direction of Bishop Gene Harvey Har-vey of American Fork. Speakers at the services were Bishop Harvey, and Anne An-ne Thomas, and a tribute was read by Stanley H. Walker, written by a former employee of the deceased. Prayers were given by Stanley H. Walker and Kenneth Ken-neth Harvey, and the grave in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery was dedicatedc by President David Harvey. Pallbearers were J. H., James, Kenneth Harvey, Claude and Paul Richards and Stanley Walker. Mrs. Tyler was a sister to Leo Harvey and Mrs. Lucille Walker of Pleasant Grove. Florence Harvey Tyler, Born April 9, 1898 in Pleasant Grove to Lewis and Helen Alexander Harvey, she married Willard E. Tyler on March 1, 1924 in Salt Lake City, the marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, He preceded her in death. Mrs. Tyler attended Pleasant Grove Schools and LDS Business College. She worked for the Deseret News Publishing Co. in Salt Lake City and worked with her husband in the newpaper business She was an active member of the LDS church and was also active politically. |
