Show MOTHER ENTERTAINS FOR BRIDE The First Ward recreation hall held a gay gathering last Thursday Thurs-day evening wh i Mrs. Reuben Tomlinson entertained a large number num-ber of relatives and friends in honor of her daughter Mrs. Lloyd Walker, nee Miss Verla Tomlinson. Mrs. A. J. Rogers was in charge of activities and conducted the program which included a reading "Neighbors" by Mrs. Martha Peterson; Pet-erson; two vocal solos "As Time Goes By" and '"Me and My Gal,' by Jimmy Smith; Toast to the bride (dramatized) by Mrs. Dona Ash. Two vocal duets, "I Love You Truly" and "Harbor of Dreams" Wilma and Nadine Hales, accompanied accom-panied by their mother, Mrs.Nor-ma Mrs.Nor-ma Hales. Tribute to the bride . by Mrs. Rogers; two vocal sols "Oh Sweet Mystery of Life" and "I Promise You," by Miss Jeanne West, accompanied ac-companied by Mrs. Eldin Swensen. The time was then turned over to greetings and social visiting and viewing the many beautiful and useful gifts which the bride received. receiv-ed. A tasty plate lunch was served. The young couple, who were married in the L. D. S. Temple. TooqHav of last week are making their home in Orem. |
