Show Reception Held Monday for Newlywed Couple A reception Monday evening In the Manila LDS Ward in Pleasant drove honored Mr. and Mrs. La-Mont La-Mont Allen, who were married on Monday morning in the Salt Luke LDS Temple. Before the ceremony, the new Mrs. Allen was the former Sybil Verburg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Paxlon of Filer, Ida. La-Mont La-Mont is the son of Mr. and Mrs. B. N. Allen of Pleasant Grove. Attending the new bride during the reception wore Norma Jean Verburg1, maid of honor; Colleen Matthews, Kathryn Dixon, maids of honor, and Becky Monson, flower flow-er girl. They were wearing nylon dotted swiss gowns and carrying bouquets of pink roses and white carnations. The bride greeted her many friends in a wedding gown of lace over taffeta. Three rufles of tulle edged in .nylon lace formed the circular skirt while the bodice was of nylon lace with a standup collar and long sleeves. She was wearing a band of pearls and a bridal veil edged in nylon lace. Her veil was attached to a juliet cap trimmed with pearls and lily of the valley. She carried a bouquet of carnations carna-tions and red roses. Ailka Vandenhazel of Holland attended the bridegroom. A program in charge of Bishop Harvey Smith of the Manila LDS Ward included' a toast to the bride by Jesse Monson; vocal solo, Mau-rine Mau-rine Andrews; toast to the bridegroom, bride-groom, H. V. Swenson; reading, Jane Iverson. Kathleen Allen was heard at the organ. Dancing1 followed fol-lowed the program. Wedding gifts were received at teh door by Richard and Penny Palmer. Delene Palmer and Her-rie Her-rie Lyne Palmer arranged gifts. Mia Maids of the Manila Ward served refreshments under the direction of their teacher, Melda Wadley. Accompanying the young- couple to Salt Lake City for the ceremony cere-mony were Mr. and Mrs. B. N. Allen, Mr. and Mrs. George Williams, Will-iams, grandparents of the bride, and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Allen, Lehi. |
