Show Wedding Reception Honors Young Couple At Lindon Ward Chapel Friday One of the lovliest brides of the . late spring season is RaVae Re-mund Re-mund who was united in marriage with Dwain J. Fortie at the Logan LDS Temple Thursday, June 14, with President A. George Raymond Ray-mond officiating. Breakfast at a Logan cafe followed the nuptial ceremony and a wedding reception honored the couple the next evening even-ing at the Lindon Ward Chapel. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Karl F. Remund of Lindon Lin-don and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne T. Moser of Ogden. To romantic organ music played by Lorin Jex, the bridal party, including in-cluding RaVae's grandmother, Mrs. Amelia Carlile, greeted the guests at the reception by candlelight candle-light in front of an arch decorated with pink carnationss and fern and clusters of white wedding bells overhanging a large basket of pink gladoli and white carnations. Lovely in a white nylon lace and tulle, floor length creation underscored under-scored with satin, the bride carried a cresent-shaped all white bouquet bou-quet of stephanotis and carnations. The skirt of her gown was a full hooped with layers of ruffles. The bodice of her gown was snug fitting fit-ting with long sleeves tapered to lily points and had a scalopped neck line. A tiara of seed pearls released a veil of sheerest illusion. illu-sion. Reva Carlile, the bride's cousin, was maid of honor with Mareen Holdaway, Leona Popp, and Mrs. Evan Harris (sister of the groom) as bridesmaids. The bridal The bridal attendants were gowned gown-ed in pink and white checked gingham and carried baskets of pink and white daisies. For the reception, Mrs. Remund chose a pink linen afternoon frock while the groom's mother wore a blue linen gown. Both were pink rosebud corsages. Bishop and Mrs. Ray O. Walker and Mr. and Mrs. R. Arden Carlisle Car-lisle greeted the guests at the chapel door. Presiding at the guest register was Mrs. Vaughn D. Fortie, while her husband performed per-formed the duties xof best man for his brother. Dwane Remund, brother brot-her of the bride, and Alvln Carlile, Car-lile, a cousin, ushered. Featured in the serving room and displayed on a white over pink satin cloth dotted with ribbon-tied, pink carnations, was a delicate whie ,four tiered, rectangular rectan-gular wedding cake, laced with pink icing and topped with a miniature min-iature temple and bride and groom. Those assisting with the serving were Anna Hjorth, JoAnn Hixson, Rayola Gillman, Lorna Gillman, Dianne Blake, and Helen Viklund. Ella Crook, Lucinda Popp, Alberta Al-berta Walker, and Ramona Ly-strup Ly-strup assisted with the gifts carried car-ried to them by Sharrel Cum-mings, Cum-mings, Phyletta Jiacoletti, Neil Fortie and Collen Fortie. Leon Walker was master of ceremonies for the variety program pro-gram which included a toast to the bride by Margaret Holdaway and a toast to the groom by "Richard "Rich-ard Sorenson. For her going away costume the new Mrs. Fortie wore a black silk suit accented with white accessories. ac-cessories. Following their honeymoon honey-moon trip to the Northwest the couple will be at home in Ogden. Mr. Fortie was graduated from Preston High School in Preston, Idaho, and served on a Texas-Louisiana Texas-Louisiana LDS Mission. He was a member of the U. S. army for two years and is now employed at Hill Air Force base. The bride, a graduate of Wasatch High School in Heber, attended the B. Y. U. for three years. |
