Show I V 1 MRS. IVAN J. CARLISLE Lovely Wedding Reception Honors Mr. and Mrs. Ivan J. Carlisle A while fireplace setting centered center-ed with a large basket of coral colored col-ored gladoli and white carnations provided the background for new-lyweds, new-lyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan J. Carlisle, Car-lisle, to greet guests in the foyer of the Lindon Ward Chapel Wednesday Wed-nesday evening. The bride is the former Miss Maxine Gillman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth R. Gillman of Lindon, and the groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Carlisle of Payson. Married earlier in the day in the Salt Lake LDS temple with President Presi-dent EIRay L. Christiansen officiating, officia-ting, the couple were honored at a wedding breakfast at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest L. Moore, brother-in-law and sister of the bridegrooom. For her reception the Dride wore an original gown of Chantilly lace an dtullc. The moulded bodice was fashioned with an inset of tulle encrusted en-crusted with pearls forming a yoke. The skirt was fashioned with tiers of lace and tulle. Her fingertip finger-tip veil of illusion was held with a cap of lace and pearls. She carried car-ried a bouquet of white feathered carnations encircling pink roses. Ballerina-length dresses of nylon dotted Swiss weer worn by the attendants. at-tendants. Mrs. Charleen Bylund, sister of the bride, matron of honor, hon-or, wore lavender; Miss Judy Gill man, also a sister, wore yellow; Miss Afton Bradley, green; Miss Nancy Warnick, pink; and Mrs. Roland Hall, blue. Flower girl Linda Carise also wore lavender. They all carried nosegays of carnations. car-nations. Gerald Carlisle, brother of the bridegroom, stood as best man. Mrs. Gillman selected a dress of pink lace and the bridegroom's mother's dress was of light blue hu e. Their corsages were of pink carnations and gardenias. To strains of soft romantic or-gon or-gon selections played by Diane Blake and Theron Gerrard guests W' re served as tables covered with white linen and centered with clear gl i S3 bowls of floating pink roses. Assisting with the serving were Linda Ostergaard, Linda Larson, Pat Swenson, Jean Harper, Diane Walker, Barbara Johnson and Joyce Joy-ce Lijenquist. Roberta Johnson presided over the guest book while Loena Gillman, Deniel Lloyd, Dean-ne Dean-ne Hutner, Deanne Gillman, Suzanne Suz-anne Walker, and Colleen Walker ca-ried the gifts to Hazel Christian-en, Helois Johnson, Gail Pack, Amy Gerrard, Alberta Walker, Madge Gillman and Linda Walker. Wilma Louder acted as hostess. Harley Gillman emceed a variety pi ngram. After a honeymoon trip the couple will return to Provo to make a home and the bridegroom will contiue his studies at Brig-ham Brig-ham Young University this fall. He filled an LDS mission to the Southern States and he served with the U.S. army in Korea and Japan. Jap-an. The bride attended the LDS Business College and she was a member of the Lambda Delta Sigma. She has been living in Salt Lake City where she has been employed. |
