Joseph Olpin Family Plans Golden Wedding Open House for Saturday The family of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Olpin of 65 East 3rd N., Heber City, Utah, are announcing announ-cing a Golden Wedding reception recep-tion to be held for their parents par-ents Saturday, Dec. 18 at the old family home, 288 N. Main, Heber City from 3 to 7 p.m. All friends and relatives are invited to attend, and thgy re-uest re-uest no gifts please. Mrs. Olpin, formerly Violet Larsson, was born in Sweden and came in America in 1909 with her sister and mother, as a convert to the LDS Church. She lived in Oregon 7 years, and then moved to Pleasant Grove. She was graduated from the Pleasant Grove High School and from the LDS Hospital School of Nursing with an R.N. degree. Mr. Olpin was born in Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove, graduated from PI. Grove High School, attended BYU and was graduated from the Hohenschue-Carpenter College Col-lege of Embalming. He filled a mission to the Northern States and is a veteran of World War I. He has resided in Heber for a long number of years. They were married Dec. 21, 1921 in the Salt Lake Temple. They have been active in LDS Church work all of their lives, filling numerous ward and stake positions. He moved to Heber City in 1928 and he and his sons run the mortuaries in Heber, Roosevelt Roose-velt and Park City. The couple have nine children, child-ren, 52 grandchildren and two great-grandsons. |
