WALKER (Marlene Duvall) Reception Honors Young Couple After Marriage in St. George LDS Temple The St. George Temple was the setting September 10 for the wedding of Marlene Duvall and Lyle D. Walker. Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Duvall of Pleasant Grove. Lyle is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Faye D. Walker of Delta.. wedding luncheon was hosted following the ceremony cere-mony by the parents of tho groom. The following evening the couple greeted guests at a reception held in their honor at the Pleasant Grove Sixth Ward Cultural hall. For the ceremony and reception re-ception the bride wore an original orig-inal designed gown which she designed herself and created by Mrs. Jo Miller. The skirt was fashioned of traditional satin with an overskirt of silk organza covered with satin embroidered em-broidered roses and seed pearls.. The same organza formed the long flowing train topped with a satin bow. The embroidered roses also added the finishing touch to the satin bodice and overlayed the emp-waist. emp-waist. Seed pearls accented the man- darin collar and were also caught up in a soft bouffant style topped with a satin rose trimmed with tiny seed pearls. The bride's bouquet was a cascade of talisman roses and stephanotis. Attending the bride was Susan Price as maid of honor and Linda Christiansen, Patsy Young, Carolyn Bezzant and Marcia Deveraux as brides maids. They wore Colonial designed de-signed gowns of orange satin, trimed with white lace and deep orange velvet ribbon. The three little flower girls were Marie and Christine Duvall Du-vall and Barbara Petersen. They were gowned in white lace over orange satin. Each carried a bouquet of orange grapes and yellow mums, tied with talisman ribbon. The arched backdrop of colonial col-onial design was white chiffon accented with the color scheme of orange and yellow chiffon, trimmed with lighted candle-bras candle-bras and bouquets of tailsman glads and orange mums tied with talisman ribbon. The mother of the bride chose moss green knit and the mother moth-er of the groom wore beige knit The receiving line buffet area was centered with a cupid holding hold-ing a large bouquet. The serving ser-ving tables were decorated with horns of plenty, filled with bronze mums, wheat, cattails and orange grapes. Usher, Glade Duvall; best man, James Wheller; honored guests, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Slater, Mrs. Azalia Dickerson, and Mr. Alex Duvall. Receiving guests were Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Duvall and Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Calton Laurel Bracken took care of the guest book. |
