Show Lindon Lions Club New President Is Ivan Walker The Lindon Lions Club met on last Thursday evening in the Lindon Lin-don Community Park building to elect new officers and hear an extensive report on the program for the forthcoming fund raising rais-ing banquet. Outgoing president Lee S wen son took charge of the election Enid conducted the business busi-ness of the evening. Those ileeUd to serve the organization or-ganization for the following year are Ivan Walker, president; Warren War-ren Kirk, 1st Vice president; Vic- tor Viklund, 2nd vice president; DuaiK Roundy was retained as secretary -treasurer. President Lee Swensen stated he would like to thank all those who have so unselfishly supported support-ed the park project and given many hours of their time toward making improvements on the community park. "A Birdseye View of Broadway" Broad-way" is the theme of the program lined up for the entertainment at the Fund Raising Banquet to be held Friday, May 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the Lindon Ward. Warren Kirk who is program chairman, says he believes the program will be very entertaining since he is using us-ing quite a bit of local talent as well as some from out of town. The program will be a tour of Broadway where you will be going go-ing to various night spots, see severa Broadway hits and also visit the opera. A scene from the Lindon Second Sec-ond Ward production will be presented by Weldon Bird, El-meda El-meda Christensen, Karolyn Gill-man, Gill-man, LaDean Gilman and Dewey Wilkinson. A quartet composed of Ellen Peterson, Ruth Shoell, June Dickey and Doris Johnson, will render a musical number that they do very well. Mr. Kirk tell us that he does not intend to interrupt the show with introductions once it has begun, be-gun, but that it will be a continuous con-tinuous run of entertainment for not quite an hour. Tickets for the banquet may be purchased from any Lions Club member in Pleasant Grove, Orem, American Pork, Lehi and Heber, as well as Lindon. Proceeds from the banquet will be turned into improvements and payment for the park. President Swensen, as well as all Lindon Lions, would like to thank the clubs in the cities mentioned for 'the support they have given this banquet. |
