We are a strong team and we will fix our errors and come back ready for a victory." On Thursday the team did come back strong with a 15-5, 15-0 win against American Amer-ican Fork. "Everyone got to play and showed the depth of our bench," Holley said. "Lindsee Anderson and Allyce Wilson together served the total 15 points. It was a fun game to work as a team," said Holley. Jalynn Thornton contributed with two kills. Lloyd, Wilson and Whitnie Willis each added one ace. Sophomore volleyball coach Carl Young said, "we lost the first game against Provo 2-15, but the girls didn't did-n't get down and came out fighting for the next game. Lone Peak defeated defeat-ed them 4-0 on Sept. 17 and defending champion Mountain Moun-tain View won 11-0 on Thursday. In the first half of action between Pleasant Grove and the Knights, the Vikings played with more determination and finesse than has been seen all year. They did a great job in both offense and defense while dominating the ball at Lone Peak's end of the field. Sara Elsie was able to capitalize on this and had a shot on goal that almost scored as it hit the top bar of the goal post. Leah Stoker Stok-er was also one who was able to take several shots. In the second half, both defense and offense were a bit more sluggish. Lone Peak recognized this and took advantage as they got off 15 shots on goal, capitalizing on four of them. Pleasant Grove as only able to get in one shot the entire second half. Timpanogos comes to visit on Tuesday.
