September 12. 2W2 - Pje 16 Obituaries Samuel (Roy) Slater Julian Mark Arnold Samut-l Alroy (Roy) church, serving as a Provo Slater, 91, died September Temple worker for 5 years. Together forever 3, 2002 in American Fork, Utah. He was born December 11, 1907 in Lehi, Utah, to N'ephi William and Ellen C o 1 1 e d g e Slater. He married Alice Wright September Sep-tember 18, 1928 in Salt Lake City. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Alice died July 19, 1997. Roy worked at Geneva Steel, retiring after 30 years. He was a nursery man and won awards for his garden. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was active in sports, still participating at age 70 in softball. He was active in the LDS He also worked as a church custodian. cus-todian. He is survived by a daughter and two sons; June (James Reed) Pulley, American Fork, Roy J. "RJ"(Lore-na) "RJ"(Lore-na) Slater, Oak City, Merrill "Sam" (Linda) Slater, American Fork; 12 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren, and 25 great-great grandchildren. Funeral Services were Monday, September 9 in the American Fork 5th Ward. Interment was in American Fork Cemetery, under the direction of Anderson & Sons Mortuary. A special thanks to the owners and caregivers at Beehive Home at 164 West 200 So. American Fork for their tender loving care. LHS sets 1957 class reunion Sept. 14 The Lehi High School Class of 1957 will hold its 45th reunion at Thanksgiving Thanksgiv-ing Point in Lehi on Saturday, Satur-day, Sept. 14, from 6 to 9 p.m. The cost is $65 a couple or $32.50 single. 'Music Man'opens at Lehi High School "The Music Man" will march into town Friday, Sept. 20 at the LHS auditorium, audito-rium, sponsored by the Lehi Arts Council, the Meredith Wilson production will also run Sept. 21, 23,27, 28. The cast of 40 represents talent from Lehi as well as American Fork, Pleasant Grove, Provo and Orem. Professor Harold Hill is being played by Neal Johnson, John-son, drama teacher for American Fork High School, and Marian Paroo is being played by Elise Adams. Other cast members include Shawna Nielsen as Eulalie Shinn, Steve Winters Win-ters as Mayor Shinn, Penni Glazier as Mrs. Paroo, Andrew Galloway as Winthrop, Sound Accord (a barbershop quartet from American Fork) as the School Board, and Jacob Haight and Ashley McKin-non McKin-non as Tommy Djilas and Zaneeta Shinn. Beverly Wilson and Patricia Patri-cia Birchall are the acting producers for the show with Kris Jennings, director. Elise Adams is directing vocals and choreography. Props mistress is Celestia Frei, costume mistress is Paula Foote, and the stage manager and set designer is Brittany Peterson. He was born May 31, 1959 in Evanston, Wyoming. He married T h e 1 m a a n Huizen July 20, 197S in Salt Lake City; they were later divorced. He married Angela Morrell June 15, 1996 in Vernal. He loved Harley Davidson David-son motorcycles, fishing, jazz music; and especially loved being with family and friends. He was a member of the LDS church and had a strong testimony of his Heavenly Father. He was best known for his honesty. He is survived by his wife, Angela, American Fork; his children: Amber Pack, Jaime Pack, William Mark Arnold, Robert W. Pack, April DyVonne Arnold, Jaclyn Nicole Arnold; brothers, William Frank Arnold, Philip Holen; special friends, Shelly Peterson, Jesse Linan, and Linda Jewitt.
