Junna typically spends Tuesdays and Thursdays working in the school library. She has helped stamp and label books, check invoices, inventory the collection, and performed per-formed a variety of other serv ices to help the librarian. librari-an. Many students and parents par-ents do not know that Jonna works as an unpaid volunteer. Jonna was born with Spina Bifida and has faced a lifetime of physical struggles. strug-gles. She chooses not to dwell on them. The 4th, 5th, and 6th grade held individual spelling bees which eliminated the contestants down to the last 15 spellers in each grade. These students were the contestants contest-ants for our school spelling bee which lasted about one and a half hours. Mandi Campbell from Mrs. Allen's 6th grade class was our champion. cham-pion. The public is welcome wel-come to come and support this concert, which is the only pay performance of the year.
