Show Nw Utahl - Sptmbr 30. 1995 Poq 3 Obituaries Parker L Cullimore Parker Luke Cullimore, 71, of Pleasant Grove passed away Tuesday, Sept. 22, 1998. He was born February Febru-ary 15, 1927 to Luke and Laura Parker Park-er Cullimore. He married mar-ried and has four daugh ters: Maya, Doni, Patsy, and Lauralee; even grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Ho later Mildred Wessel Our beloved mother, sister, aunt and friend Mildred Smith Wessel, 83, died peacefu'ly after a long illness in El Cerri-to, Cerri-to, California, on September 23, 1998. She was born September Sep-tember 4, 1915, in Cedar Valley, Val-ley, Utah, the sixth child of Ralph M. and Beth Smith. She married James H. Weasel on Nov. 22, 1939 in Salt Lake City. Mildred was past president of the PTA, the Republican Women's Club and campaign manager for Doris Hormel, the first woman Mayor of El Cerri-to. Cerri-to. She was a member of the Unity Church in Richmond, Bhe was an avid reader, very active with her friends and in her community, and was a devoted homemaker. She was our confidant, our security and a lot of times our backbone. She was loved and will be missed by many. Survived by son, James M. Wessel, Inverness, Calif..; nieces and nephews; a sister-in-law. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers and three sisters; sis-ters; Fern Larson, Cora Acord, Deane White, Grant Smith, Mont Smith and John Smith. Graveside services and burial bur-ial will be held Monday, Oct. 5, 1998 at 11:00 a.m. in the Lehi City Cemetery under the direction direc-tion of Wing Mortuary, Lehi. divorced and married Lily Mills in February 1976 in Elko, Nevada. He has three stepsons: step-sons: Frank, Jim, and Terry Mills; 11 step-grandchildren and 6 step peat-grandchildren. He worked for Pleasant Grove City from 1976 serving the city as sexton for sixteen years until he retired in 1992. v Funeral services were held Friday, September 25, 1998 in the Pleasant Grove, Grove Ward Chapel, 455 East 200 South, Pleasant Grove. Burial was in the Pleaarin' Jrove City Cemetery. We love and miss him. John Thornton John Edward Thornton, 93, of Pleasant Grove died Friday, Sept 25, 1998, at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center. Cen-ter. He was born Oct. 23, 1904 in Manti, Utah to John Thomas . and Susannah Mackey Thornton. He married Alberta Lewis September 4, 1931. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. She died Jan. 12, 1992. He was an active member of the LDS Church. Jessi K. Grantham He is survived by two daughters daugh-ters and one son: Chernl (Lenn) Garner of Heyburn, Idaho, Jackie (Lester) Brady, Hal J. (Alice) Thornton aad a daughter-in- law, Marie Thornton, Thorn-ton, all of Pleasant Grove; 17 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren and numerous great great-grandthildren. Additional Addition-al survivors include a sister, Mae Hansen and two brothers Roy Thornton and Walter (Luella) Thornton. He was preceded pre-ceded in death by a son, Lynn Thornton, his parents, and four brothers. Funeral services were Monday, Mon-day, September 28, 1998 in the Orchard Ward Chapel, Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Beloved son, bruther, grund son, nephew, and friend, Jessi Kay Grantham, 18, returned to his Heavenly Father as a result of a motorcycle accident on Sept. 25, 1998 in Payson He was born Nov. 29, 1979 in Provo, Utah the son of Donald Kay Grantham and Gaylene Beigh-ley Beigh-ley Mitchell. Jessi was an avid sportsman. He was born Nov. 20, 1916 in American Fork, son of Orin and Elsie Hunter Ashton. Married Mar-ried Eva L e n o r a Hansen, Nov. 20, 1936 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Carl was a retired supervisor supervi-sor for Utah Power and Light Co. He was a talented wood carver and enjoyed hunting, camping, family picnics and get-togethers and traveling. He was a member of the LDS Church and had been a member mem-ber of the Lehi Lion's Club, and Lehi Power Board. With his wife, Eva, they belonged to the Lehi Square Dancing Club, Good Sam's Club, served on the Old Folks' Committee and enjoyed activities and traveling with the Senior Citizens-Group. Citizens-Group. Most of all, he lived for and cared about his family. Survived by his wife, Eva, of Lehi; two sons and one daughter, daugh-ter, Dale (Deanne) Ashton; Dennis (Connie) Ashton; and Carol (Gary) Oxborrow, all of Lehi; 18 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by sisters and brothers, Ora, Fay, Dale, Leon; and Lawrence. Funeral, Thursday, Oct. 1, 1998 at 11:00 a.m. in the Wing Mortuary Chapel, 118 E. Main, Lehi, where friends may call Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Thursday one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Lehi City Cemetery. !'
