Holindrake Town Clerk P Sample Ballot Elder Driggs and Elder Edwards are fulltime missionaries in the Pleasant Grove area. LDS missionaries enjoy meeting people, good food By KALYN 8E CRETAN . Elder Driggs from Oakton, Va., and Elder Edwards from Michigan were surprised to receive a mission mis-sion call to Utah. Elder Driggs wondered if he would be serving as a full-time home teacher. He has found with sufficient priesthood in the area, missionaries just work with non-members. Elder Edwards was very excited excit-ed to receive a call to Utah. He has always worried about where he would be sent and what food would be available. When he received his call to Utah he knew he would eat well. He has found many meals are eaten in members homes; they do feed the missionaries missionar-ies well. Elder Driggs is serving in his first area. He just arrived in the mission on Aug. 16. This is kind of a homecoming, Elder Driggs was born in Provo where his mom and dad were living and attending BYU. I Open til 7 p.m. Lena Gean Phelps, Owner 1 East Main, American Fork 756-4348 J He is the oldest of four children. His younger brother plans to follow fol-low suit and is preparing for a mission in the near future. Elder Driggs spent two years at Cal Tech in Pasadena, Calif., studying "Applied Physics," before his mission. Elder Edwards arrived in Utah 17 months ago. He has served in Cedar City, Kanab, BYU Campus and Moab. He has learned something some-thing in every area. His mother was a convert to the LDS Church but his father comes for a long line of LDS ancestors. He has five brothers and sisters and is the second oldest in his family. He spent one year attending a community college in his area. He really loves sports. The missionaries' work is scattered, scat-tered, it covers five stakes in the area. The Utah Provo Mission is among the top three English Speaking Missions in the Church. The other two are Utah Salt Lake and the California Arcadia Mission. The missionaries are teaching a lot of people in Pleasant Grove, and getting baptisms, too. - If any one would like to give a referral or meet the missionaries, they can call them at 785-7140.
