Webb recently. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Hairy "Steele of American Fork. Mr. and Mrs. Stanford Steele and sons of Lake Springs, Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. Val Steele and three daughters of Grace, Idaho, Mrs. Ronnie Green of Po-catello, Po-catello, Idaho, and the host and hostess and sons. Following breakfast the cousins cous-ins played outdoor games while the parents, sisters and brothers visited. ' ' Mrs. Webb presented each family- with a hand-tooled coffee table from India. The entire group drove to Salt Iike City later in the day where they enjoyed dinner and then drove to the airport where Mr. and Mrs. John Webb boarded' a jet plane to return to their home in New Delhi, India. Return from Idaho Mr. and Mrs. Lyman W. Smith and children Carolyn, Howard, and Ted have returned from Rex-burg-, Idaho, where they visited with Mrs. Smith's brother, Lewis Mulkay and his -wife and family for a week. While they were in Idaho they spent time in Yellowstone Yel-lowstone Park where Mr. Mulkay is a Ranger and naturalist. Canttnnnii noartlll :v o' ( f Manifold , ' "&l - s ' Pen Pal Visits Here, Brings Family from Hawaii for U.S..Trip Miss Lorraine Jensen and her parents, Mr. arid Mrs. Perry Jensen Jen-sen were delighted recently with a visit from Lorraine's Hawaiian pen pal, Janice Kurosu, her parents par-ents and her brothers and sisters, sis-ters, 'Michele, Michael and "Arthur. "Ar-thur. The Kurosus came from their home in Honolulu by plane, visited vis-ited in Nebraska, San Francisco, Yellowstone Park and then drove here especially to visit the Jen-, sens. They were here overnight and visited briefly with Mr, and Mrs. Chester Slade, . and their daughter Charlotte, "who also writes to Janice. . Lorraine started to write to Janice as a project in geography in the 9th grade and chose a pen pal. The two girls have exchanged exchang-ed letters and gifts regularly and' for Lorraine's last birthday she received four beautiful orchids, fresh from Hawaii. Birthday Luncheon Held by Women's Missionary Society A birthday luncheon wa3 given Thursday, Aug. 17 at the city park, honoring Mrs. Tate Williams. Will-iams. She received lovely cards, pot holders and tea towels along with a birthday cake. After the luncheon the ladies held their regular monthly meeting meet-ing of the Women's Missionary Society of the Baptist Church. Matters of business were taken tak-en care of and the officers for thai cqening year were elected. King Queen For Lindon Fair Will Be Chosen Saturday, August 26 at 7:30 p.m. is the time m-l for the crowning of the King 'and Queen and their attendants for the Lln-tkn Lln-tkn Fair to be held Sept. 9. Speakers at the service were Calvin Walker and Herbert Gil. bert with Hishop Spencer giving remarks. Clarence Hilton. Glado Hilton, Joseph Hilton and Clovd Chris tiansen sang "Eventide" accom panied by Jane Ollivier. The lad ies trio sang "Beyond the Sun set." after which the closing prayer was given by Milton Ad-amson. Ad-amson. The grave, in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery was dedicated dedi-cated by Clarence Hilton. The Sixth Ward Relief Society cared for and arranged the floral flor-al offerings. Mr. Nelson was born Dec. 12, If 98 in Pleasant Grove, a son of Lewis and Josephine Ball Nelson. He spent his childhood and school days In Pleasant Grove. He married mar-ried Aita Smith, July 3, 1925 In Salt Lake City. Survivors include his widow. Pleasant Orove; two sons and four daughters, Judith Nelson. Mrs. Reed (Phyllis) Radmall. both of Pleasant Crove; LaMar, Los Altos, Calif.; Mrs. Reed (Anna (An-na Jane) James, Midvale; Ross. Provo; Mrs. Myron (Kathleen) Briggs, American Fork; 13 grandchildren, one brother and one sister, Wilford Nelson and Mrs. Herbert (Nellie) Turner of Lehi. P.G. Baseball Assn. Visitors Entertained ' Mrs. Geraldine Macfarlane Wremer and children John. Di ane and Randy are visiting here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Macfarlane from their home in Akron, Ohio. They have been here two weeks and plan to say until Tuesday. Many family parties and entertainments en-tertainments have been held in their honor, including a dinner on Sunday to which Mr. and Mrs. Jay Macfarlane and children, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Ware and Marsha from Layton and Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Todd and children from Salt Lake City were guests. On Friday, family members, including Geraldine and her parents, par-ents, Mr.' and Mrs. Jay Macfar-line, Macfar-line, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Macfarlane Mac-farlane of Salt Lake Citv and Mr. and Mrs. James Macfarlane of Midvale met at the Panorama Inn in Salt Lake City for dinner. Harmers Meet Son In New York City After serving two and a half years in the New Zealand Mission Jerry Harmer is at home with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Harmer. He -was released from the mission field and visited Egypt and toured Europe before boarding the S.S. United States to sail for home. Arriving at the New York port he was met by his parents and sister Linda and brother Bob and an aunt, Marie Bishop.
