The Art department of the Grade schools under the direction of Miss Juana Taylor and Miss MarJorieJ Holdaway have prepared colorful art windows for the Grade school building. As you enter the building the windows strike you as being the expensive designs of art work. On closer examination you find that the artistic effect is accomplished with colored paper and clever designing;. cut to carry out scenes in the life of Christ. The front. window in the fseoond story portrays the 'ascension of Christ. In the east window above the entrance the last supper is cleverly clev-erly portrayed. Other windows throughout the building tell the stories of Christ talking to the wise men, Christ carrying the cross, Christ in the Garden of Gethse-mane, Gethse-mane, at the tomb of Jesus, Jesus on the cross and other pictures depicting depict-ing scenes in the life of the Master. The students have prepared banners ban-ners showing Santa Claus and the wise men, the shepherds and the star. . Throughout the rooms are candles, wreaths And other decorations decora-tions in remembrance of Christmas. In the large hall in the second story a beautifully decorated Christmas tree stands, with red streamers attached at-tached from the tree to various parts of the hall. On Friday afternoon the entire school enjoyed a Christmas program around this tree. Each class in the school contributed to the entertain ing features in song and story. At the right moment a real live Santa Claus appeared with bags of candy ancTnuts for all. , t During the Christmas season these decorative window scenes were used in the churches at the various ward programs.
