Y, U. in native costume, spoke on the customs of Japan, Illustrating books, chop sticks, etc. He also played the national airs on a Japanese musical instrument . The officers of the Windsor camp of the Daughters of the Pioneers held a business meeting Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Elisabeth Baxter. John i. Brown formerly of this city but recently employed at Magna, was badly Injured in an accident at the Magna Mill Tuesday. He is at the Holy Cross Hospital In Salt Lake In a very serious condition. April 24, folio wing a nudden illness. Bishop B. H. Adamson conducted-the services. ser-vices. The speakers were Niels Fugal, C. H, Taylor and Patriarch S. L. Swenson. Swen-son. Each of them conveyed many words of consolement Musical numbers consisted of the Second ward quartet singing "Sometime "Some-time We'll Understand" and "Guide Me To Thee," two violin solos by Blanche Clark accompanied by Melba Clark, and a vocal duet by Stella Hardman and Viola Thorne. i, The Invocation was offered by John Van Wagoner and the benediction pronounced by W. W. Warnick. . Interment was made in the Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove cemetery, where the grave was dedicated by Lester Gi West - Mrs. Jacobson was born in Denmark Den-mark May 18, 1850. - She became a Latter-day Saint at an early age and came to Utah In 1866, making American Ameri-can Fork her home, until she married Laurltz 'Jacobson In 1867. She has since resided in Pleasant Grove. Ten children survive, forty-six grandchildren and thirty great grandchildren. grand-children. Relief Society conference of the Timpanogos Stake was held Tuesday, April 30 In the Windsor ward chapel, with Besaons at 10 a. m. and 2 p. m. Stake President Ella M. Cragun was In charge ot both meetings. A welcome lais was 'given, by Martha Mar-tha T. Keetch, president ot the Windsor Wind-sor Ward Relief Society. Response was made by Counselor Kate Jacobs. President W. W. Warnick said that the Relief Society organization always al-ways had the proper spirit to put over any kind ot "work. "They have a refining re-fining spirit that we feel is absent when the brethern hold meetings without them, The Prophet - Joseph Smith organized this . wonderful society, so-ciety, the oldest organization . of its kind in the world. All of the different organizations of the church properly officered are doing wonderful work, but the Relief Society deals more closely with the home." - Mrs. Almina Webb, president of the Lehi stake, also talked and stated tha. the division of the stake had been a blessing because so many more people had been placed in responsible positions. posi-tions. "It we magnify the labors to which we are called the Lord will .bless us." Mrs. Goodwin, Mrs. Gard ner and Mrs. Phillips of the Lehl stake also talked. The Relief Society fosters flower growing along with other arts such as sculp- turning, musld' and applied art" Edmun Cragun, counselor of stake said that he appreciated the work of the Relief Society as a help to the bishoprlo of every ward, as well as the many other responsibilities that the organization carried. Bishop A. H. Lowe expressed his appreciation for the splendid program given during the morning session. Musical numbers consisted of the choir and congregation singing "Secret Prayer," the choir under the direction of Mrs. Alta B. Walker sing ing "Teach My Soul To Pray," the Manila ward quartet singing "Loves Old Sweet Song," a quartet composed of Mrs. May R. Walker, Nettle Warnick, War-nick, Ethel Lowe and Mrs. E. B. Walker Walk-er singing "Sweet and Low," and the choir rendering "We Love. Our Work." Mrs.-Mary E. Abel of Alpine stake gave a reading "Dora." Prayers were given by High Counselor Coun-selor A. L. Culllmore and Mrs. Webb of the Lehl Stake Board. Counselor Cora W. Atwood was the first speaker at the afternoon session. She stated- that this organization which was. founded by the. Prophet Joseph Smith now numbers 24,77! members, and is the largest organiza tion of women In tha. . world. . 'Eyery married woman in the church should be a member of the Relief Society, as development in many lines, theology, literature, social service work, etc. is received."
