Show Funeral Services for Lyman Huntsman Is Held Tuesday Friends and relatives gathered at the Third-Sixth Ward chapel on Tuesday, July 8, to pay last tribute to the memory of Lyman D. Huntsman, and express love and sympathy for his family. The impressive services wei'e directed di-rected by Thomas J. Griffiths of the American Fork Eighth Ward bishopric. Prayer at the mortuary had been offered by Calvin Walker. Walk-er. The opening number at the chapel cha-pel was a vocal duet, "Beyond, the Sunset", by Mary and Richard Devereaux, accompanied by Max-ene Max-ene Fugal. Invocation was offered by Harold R. Penrod. Speakers who paid tribute to the noble, sincere life of Mr. Huntsman Hunts-man and offered words of faith and encouragement to the family were William C. Smith and Ned Veater. Alene Fugal and Ida May Christiansen sang "Hills of Home," accompanied by Doris Crystal. Sheila Anderson played prelude and postlude organ music. Benediction Bene-diction was pronounced by Glade Hilton of the Third Ward bishopric. bishop-ric. Burial, directed by Olpin-Sundberg Olpin-Sundberg Mortuary, took place in the Pleasant Grove City cemetery where Merle Black offered . the dedicatorial prayer. Pallbearers were Elvin Conder, Melvin Conder, Arohie Wasden, Martin Conder, Sherrill A. Hanson and Viron Washburn. Flowers were oared for and arranged by Pleasant Grove Third ard Relief Society. Lyman David Huntsman, 30, died at his home in American Fork Thursday at 9:30 p.m. after a long illness. He was born Aug. 27, 1927, in Salt Lake City to John D. and Inez Black Huntsman. A member of the 286th Quorum of Seventy, he had served as secretary. He served as a missionary to the Western States and also filled two stake missions. He married Edna Fay Hansen May 19, 1953 in the Manti Temple. Survivors include his widow and a son, Lorin David, American Fork; parents, Pleasant Grove; two brothers and a sister, Dale and LaRae, Pleasant Grove; Sheldon, Shel-don, Provo; igrandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Black, Springville. |
