Show Funeral Services Held Saturday for M. Lizzie Mann Impressive funeral services were conducted Saturday at Olpin-Sun-berg Mortuary for M. Lizzie Mann, 69. who died Wednesday, Aug. 6 in American Fork Hospital, after a long illness. Opening prayer was offered by Alvin Monson, and was followed by a vocal quartette, The Old Rugged Cross, by J. C, John, Joseph and Glade Hilton. Speakers who paid tribute to the memory of the departed de-parted and spoke words of faith and encouragement and sympathy to her family were Jess Monson and J. C. Hilton. Mary Deveraux and Maxine Fugal sang "Going Home." Sheila Anderson accompanied accom-panied both numbers and also played play-ed prelude and postlude organ music. Prior to the service family prayer was offered by Parley Christianson. Benediction was pronounced by Leslie Cromar. Final ceremony and rites were were conducted by Women of Moose. Interment directed by Ol-pin-Sundberg Mortuary was made in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery, Ceme-tery, where Calvin Walker, offered the dedicatorial prayer. Pallbearers were Frank, Paul and Warren Monson, Joseph Mann, James Webb and Marion Wright. Flowers were arranged and cared car-ed for by Women of Moose. Born Feb. 9, 1889, Harper, Kan., to O. B. and Mary Quinn Elrod. Moved with parents to Ames, Okla. in 1893. Married to Joseph W. Mann April 18. 1909, Ames. Lived in Ames, Rock Springs, Wyo., moved mov-ed to Utah 1949. He died Nov. 10, 1954. Member, Royal Neighbors and Women of Moose, Lodge 903, Provo; American Legion Auxiliary, Holladay, Post 71. Survivors: son daughter, Osman, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Joseph (Phyllis) (Phy-llis) Monson, Pleasant Grove; six grandchildren: seven great-grandchildren; five sisters. |
