Show Funeral Services Saturday for Albert Anderson Albert Anderson, 80, a native of Pleasant Grove, died at a Los Angeles hospital on January 30, at 9:45 a. m. from complications following a fractured hip, sustained sustain-ed in a fall several months ago. He was born in Pleasant Grove, September 2, 1874, to Carl and Hilda Rhodin Anderson, and lived his entire life here and in Lindon until last April when he moved to Los Angeles to make his home with his son Dr. Dean A. Anderson. Ander-son. For many years he successfully operated a farm in Lindon, where he was very active in L. D. S. church activities. He was a high priest in Timpaivogos Stake. Other important church activities activit-ies included a mission for the LDS church in Sweden, 1887-1899; served ser-ved as a member of the Lindon Ward Bishopric for several years; he was released from this position in 1928 and served on the high council from 1928 to 1944. In a civic capacity he served as Supt. of the North Union Irrigation Irrigat-ion Co.; also served on the irrigation irrigat-ion board, and on the grazing; board. He was a member of the Lindon Town Board for several years. His wife whem he married in the Salt Lake Temple on Jan. 10, 1901, was Annie Caroline Rad-mall. Rad-mall. With her, he retired from the farm in Lindon and moved! back to Pleasant Grove. Mrs. Anderson died Oct. 13, 1952. Survivors include one son Dr. Dean A. Anderson of Los Angeles, two grandchildren, Mrs. LuDeane Durham of Orem; Gordon K. Anderson And-erson of Los Angeles and 3 grandchildren. grand-children. Funeral services will be conducted conduct-ed Saturday, February 5 in the Third Ward Chapel at 1 p.m. Friends may call at the Olpin Mortuary in Pleasant Grove Friday Fri-day from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday until time of services. Burial will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Elwood Sunberg, Dee and Gerry Olpin, of the Olpin Mortuary drove to Los Angeles and brought the body of Mr. Anderson home. |
