Show Garden Club Meets Monday with Mrs. Sadie Chandler Pleasant Grove Garden Club held their meeting on Monday, Feb. 3 with Mrs. Sadie Chandler. Vice President Erma Klemm conducted and minutes of last meeting were read by secretai-y Lucile Butt. The club project for the year was presented and discussed; that visiting the State Hospital at Provo, Pro-vo, and when possible teaching the inmates the planting and care of flowers. Vella Liston was chosen project chairman and she, with a committee will visit the hospital next Monday to see what arrangements arrange-ments can be made. Mrs. Lucile Butt gave some fine pointers on indoor seed and planting plant-ing and transplanting for early flowers, and preparation of soil, and later culture. Mrs. Butt stressed the following: "Plant abundantly, enough for yourself and some to spare; some for the worms and some for the crow, some to pull and some to grow." A tasty lunch was served by the hostess to Erma Klemm, Lucile Butt, Mary Shoemaker, Ida Pier-son, Pier-son, Jane Armitstc-ad, Vella Liston, Lis-ton, Emma Harper and Lucille Butt and Lucile Hillman. |
