Show Funeral Held For Lester Stott Funeral rites were conducted in the Grove Ward chapel on June 6, for Lester Stott, 84, who died at his home Sunday, May 5. The services began at 1 p.m. with Bishop Karl Butler, presiding. Invocation was offered by Oscar Evans. Mrs. S. W. Hilton and Robert Rob-ert Hilton sang "Hold Thou My Hand." They were accompanied by Miss Page. Speakers who paid tribute to the long and busy life of Mr. Stott, of his loyalty to his church and his work in the LDS Indian Mission field, were Harold Bullock, former Bishop of the Grove Ward and William C. Smith. They were followed by vocal duet "O My Father" sung by Mrs. Hilton Hil-ton and her son, accompanied by Margene Page. Closing remarks of sympathy and appreciation of the family were made by Bishop Butler. Mrs. Karl Butler played prelude and postlude organ music. Interment was made in the PI. Grove City Cemetery, where Ther-on Ther-on BoiTup ,a nephew, offered the dedicatorial prayer. Pallbearers, all grandsons were Archie, Evan, Lester M., and La-Ross La-Ross Brady and Richard and Gerald Ger-ald Stott. Flowers were arranged by Grove Ward Relief Society. |
